I went to say hello to him and I was completely starstruck, I was a background actor and I've met plenty of "stars" but for some reason, because I was so used to him in my mind from childhood, and his character was so compelling. My mind was like: "You are talking to Mr. Spock, you are talking to Mr. Spock".....I blabbered something about being a fan...but I literally could not process meeting him in real life. They weren't filming Star Trek anymore at this point. Star Trek ran from 1966-1969 and the Flip Wilson Show debuted in 1970 and ran through 1974.
This is Funny and Logical. LOL, (smile)
I loved the Flip Wilson Show. Used to watch it with my mom and dad!
I adored these guys... I wasn't allowed to watch them most of the time but every now and again I would get too.. :)
Timeless and hilarious
Flip was awesome. My favourite skits were with Geraldine and the booth in the back in the corner in the dark.
I loved this so much! 😂
Flip kept me in stitches when I was a kid.
What a wonderful variation on the old vaudeville routines and with Flip Wilson and Leonard Nimoy! Flip and Leonard milked it all the way to the final spot. Hilarious and very well done. Loved both of these guys as a kid.
I'm LMAO here. Just towards the end, I'm yelling, give him the neck pinch,! give him the neck pinch! And he does!
This made my day!! Thank you!!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
What a classic moment.
Both these actors had dignity!
Hilarious! 🤣 Great memories. I miss them both.

You can read up on what he was up to on Wikipedia. He was still making guest appearances until two years before his death in 1998 (cancer). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flip_Wilson
I’m still searching for these *early* TVLand reruns.

I could not wait to watch the show when it came on. Life seemed so much simpler. You could actually enjoy hanging out with the family for a show or two.
