Wait, I'm confused about the grit we should use on the natural nails. 100 grit is pretty course and I thought we were to not use that, as it.would damage the nail.plate

Hello hello.!! This is 100 yes.! But always depends on the company and actually the pressure you make on the natural nail bed.! What i'm saying about the company is that some 100 are soft and some 100 are very coarse.! This company the 100 is like a 150, and if it's a used file 100 turns into 150 or maybe 180. But, the trick is not to put any preassure on the natural nail bed.!!
