Okay, this might be a bit deep but I think the UFC and MMA media are doing a horrible job of promoting the fighters. They only ever talk about their skills, past fights, and some abstract fight stats that no one cares about. You Nina are the only one to actually get into their personalities and make them seem relatable and fun. This is... the first time I've seen Leon Edwards as either fun or entertaining. Keep doing what you are doing, this is so fresh.

I've been saying that too! It's hard sometimes for these fighters to show personality especially when English isn't their first language so it's tougher to relate to them, but Nina is really helping me become a fan of fighters I might not be, or know too much about, just from her interviewing them. It's great what she does! Great comment too!

Leon grew up in one of the deadliest hoods in the world in Jamaica seeing people shot regularly, then moved to Birmingham UK, joined a gang (Top Boy type), street fought often and got arrested for weapons possession. The questions like the food Nina asked him about are things only white grandparents born in the 30-50s would know and eat. Him saying there are different cultures in UK meant "you realise I'm black and you're asking me about the whitest niche British things ever".

Well the questions were a generalization of a place as a whole, nothing to do with race. To assume “because he’s black” he must not share this culture is a bit … ignorant in itself I feel … if anything this would be a place for him to tell me how it was for him instead, that’s how you learn about people.

@@ippothedestroyerYh true but leon decision was most unlikely so that's only way I see him benefitting from it, most people didn't think leon could win this fight by decision and needed a finish since they assumed we would see the colby usman fought and not a guy who hasn't had a real high pace fight with someone near leon level in years which is what he really was Important to see things for what they are not what we want to see them as, this wins you bets but imagination also important allows you to see results logic wouldn't show so all about balance too

I think she actually does a great job at getting to the core of these fighters. She makes them vulnerable and then ask them a very human question. She's also orthogonal to all the other fight interviews around.

If you ever go to Birmingham you should have Leon show you around his side like a vlog type thing I think that would be lit, lol I actually think y'all would vibe after this initial awkwardness 😂😂 now he knows wat to expect lmaooo
