Sayer had it all in the 70s, the fashion :yellow jumpers, brown corduroy trousers ( when was the last time you heard the corduroy used in a sentence??? well ?? ) he had crazy affro hair that stuck up to the moon, he was often confused in my youth with that exercise guy off tv called richard simmons. Sayer is a legend in many ways. His greatest hits on vinyl sits proudly between other unknown and forgotten bands like the beatles. I sayer we bring back leo ! Thumbs up if u agree !!

When I first heard Leo Sayer in the late 70-80's I wasnt too fond of his singing style even as a little kid.(before you crucify me let me explain) I was always particular about peoples use of "Falsetto" singing and the song "You make me feel like dancing" where L.S. screeches in that high nasal voice was really grating and harsh to me. *BUT* When Leo Sings in his natural voice register like this... It is Magic. He has a very sweet and emotion-felt and powerful voice. I always appreciated when he sings songs in that register more.

I used to play this song over & over in '78, '79. Don't know why I why only 8-9 yrs old myself. Love all the 70's music! :)
I went to see Leo Sayer and Melissa Manchester at the Greek Theater in the LA area on my 14th birthday. I was soooo happy for a long time from that! That was in 1977 and I still think about that once in awhile....
This song is so deep I feel it in my bones
Another favorite from my pre-teen years. So many good love songs then!

Beautiful Song!
I'm 39 years old, but I'm still gonna say this. This song reminds me off my MOMMY!! This song came out when i was a toddler and I was stuck to her like glue. No matter what she does she will always be my mommy.......
I am seventeen and I love the music of leo sayer n_n this is TRUE music :D thanks mom, for showing me the real artists :)
Such a pretty song.
Love this song!!
Reminds me of my childhood.. absolutely gorgeous song......love it :-D
I have paused this song and read a number of comments. I won't listen to it. I remember hearing it a lot in the 70's and early 80's at a young age and it when I've heard it occasionally over the past 30 years, it brings back many memories. Most memories are unpleasant ones of my childhood. I've always found it a very melancholy song.
I listened to this song as a kid, before I new the meaning of the words. But I new it was special. Now as an adult, I can fully appreciate what at one time I was to young to understand

Memories of early 80s. Unforgettable no by Leo Sayer.
He sounds so good..,his music. Is good..
what can i say ,the song say's it all xxx
The year this was a hit was 1976 in the uk, I was a teenager and found my first love, she was older than me.This record was playing when we got together and it always brings back deep feelings .I was in the Royal Navy at that time and didn't see her again for a few years and when I did she was married.I saw her again 30 years later and that love deep down was still there and will stay with me forever. When i hear this song I am back in 1976 wow what a fantastic time we had. Ady.
this is proof that no amount of money and technology and production can compete with simple naked passion with talent.
Beautifull piece pregnant with so many subtle nuances of tenderness and love.

My mom used to hum this song all the time and it brought me to tears when i listened today. Love you mom
Are brilliant singer and song - I sang along watching this brilliant video and are it brought a tear to my eye and a lump in my throat again.
Beautiful Love Song
It's a beautiful song that brings back memories of a time when the one I loved moved to Wales while I remained behind. It was a sad time in my life because we could only talk on the phone and didn't see each other for a year but this song encapsulated my feelings perfectly.
Happiness is, when every song, is a love ballad God sings to my heart... He brought me to His banqueting table, His banner over me is love... Yes, I am my beloveds and He is mine!
ohhh my beautiful song for my love

I haven't heard this song in forever! My love is in Mexico trying to get a visa to come back. He was truly my partner, my best friend, my love. This song touches my heart. It hits home.
Great Song
I'm not from this generation, born in 1984 (no disrespect intended to anyone.) I listen to a lot of music; older music and new music. What sounds good and is beautiful, I listen to.... This guy has an amazing, God given voice! The only guy that comes to mind now-a-days comparable to his voice is NATE RUESS from the group (fun.) He is awesome... I love a great voice! ("and no, I'm not a homosexual, just a guy that appreciates and loves good music and great talent.)

Garrett Powell, well , man, I’d say you should have been there, but then you’d be an old guy like me with one foot in the grave, not complaining, life’s been spectacular, so many memories, rock on sir.
I first heard this song in Singapore in 1977 serving with New Zealand Army, played it a lot with my room mates Sam Hunter, Sam Kahaki, and Willie Manu. Great memories. I would like to dedicate this to our fallen brothers and sisters....ONWARD..
I was 21 years old when this song came out in early 1977 and I was living in England at the time. Such beautiful memories.
I'm going through a break up and it hurts to listen to this song😢

This was my mothers favorite song. She passed away last year and I always think of her when I hear it.
So many love songs, touching so many souls, and yet, they seem like they were recorded just for me. "I just close my eyes"
