Carrie, this is the first time I’ve ever listened to a reading for my rising. Are readings for rising and moon interpreted differently?

The received wisdom is that rising sign will probably be more specifically accurate, while moon would be more subjective, but I think it really is a point of personal discernment for people. Some people have nothing at all in common with their rising sign, others *only* resonate with their rising. I'm pretty sure I spent the first 37 years of my life thinking I was a Leo (sun and moon), whereas everything about me was screeching Capricorn (ascendant). It's only the last few years that I have started to comprehend the nuance of blending the two together. As ever, take what resonates with you and don't sweat the stuff that doesn't ♥️

My experience is that sun, moon and rising apply to different areas of my life (inner and outer), together they make a more full picture of me, my life and what's going on currently (inside and outside). But in my interpretation there are no maps or rules for "which goes where", I just simply listen to what resonates.
