Strikes me as a young Chris Smalling. I guess the special part of him is he's able to compete at such a young age so his potential is great. I still prefer Kossonnou at this point in their careers. Just because he's like Varane doesn't mean he'll be. Too many unknowns, will he be able to adapt to his growing body, will his agility improve, will he be tall and muscular or lanky? These are all punts, the price is okay for it I guess. I won't be too upset to miss out.

For example, if you watched a Badiashile compilation, you will see something special. And even Badiashile has not pulled down trees at Chelsea yet. And Badia is young too. About 21.

I don’t exactly get it either, but from what I can see his strengths are ones you’d attribute to an older more mature defender. Tall and strong, has great anticipation for tackles, and though he’s quick doesn’t rely too much on his pace.
