I onced replaced a power management chip in a thinkpad laptop. Then the whole 20v input got shorted specifically the mosfets around the 20v. NEVER replace the power management chip unless it's your last option.

What a repair Sorin! I love my Lenovo but certainly room for improvement. Oh also idk if your aware but every 2-3 mins on your channel there is ads ...long ads, mostly about food... strange. i think laptop turned on on start for sec bcus there was little battery left,,, in letter he is telling his chargers are not charging it... :) Happy new year my master !

I had the absolute same problem. But it was a company laptop so I gave it back. USB-C charging ports are the worst idea ever! They kill everything... I didn't watch your videos back then, but it would have been something interesting to check before giving it back. The laptop was brand new as well. A Lenovo Carbon X-1 or some such.

Hi Mr Sorin.. If u use a cats61 phone it has a thermal camera. You can mount it to your desk over head. Connect it to a computer and you can see the shorts on screen.

Okay this night be the same fault that's on my thinkpad t480p. I don't have a thermal camera but the thinkengine chip (power management chip?) Gets hot, I think it's not at fault and is working as intended, cutting the power to the machine. So what you've found might also be the issue on mine! Or at least I'm suspecting it is…
