Another great review Andrew. I'm still in love with the Lenovo Yoga 9i you reviewed recently...having those 2 screens...but this one has great specs and a nice price too. Thank you for excellent work!

I bought the Yoga Book 9i for those two screens and then realized it was slower than my 5-year-old Yoga 9i. Promptly returned it and now I'm eying the Slim Pro 9i. If it weren't for the battery life it would already be mine.
Hey Andrew, I really like your format to the way you review all the products. I was wondering if you would be able to do a review on the ASUS Zenbook 14 Flip OLED or also a 2 in 1 laptop comparison between something like the Lenovo Yoga 9i/7i, Asus Zenbook/Vivobook Flip, Dell XPS 13 2 in 1 and a HP Envy x360 (or something similar). Love your work. Thank you.
I love how easy they can make accessing the internals as long as theres nothing to upgrade 😅
Thaanks, Andrew! Waiting for G14 and razer blade 14!
Great review Andrew! Thanks for getting it out so quickly. I will be comparing this unit to my Lenovo Yoga 9i (2022) that I bought in response to your review last year.

Yes! This is the laptop I just purchased. I got a refurbished one for about $1,000, and Im extremely happy with it. It's fast, has a great display, awesome speakers, perfect size for me and if I keep it a 60hz, I get good battery life. Thanks for all your reviews, I will continue watching your videos because of the way you present information and talk to your audience!
Hi Andrew! Great review. I'm debating exchanging my Macbook Pro 14 M3 for this one and I am struggling. What I appreciate most in a laptop is the hard drive space portability and battery life. The first two go to Lenovo, but nothing seems to even rival the over 12 hours I can get with the Mac. Ugh- if only the battery life was a little better:(.
great review. you touched pretty much all what i need to know. expecting to get it on monday. Thank you keep it up

Andrew if you don't mind me to ask you, which lenovo smart docking station can i get, need it for 2 displays and lan connections.
Q: Is the trackpad/clickpad a "diving board" pad, similar to other Lenovo laptops... In that it is easier to click down towards the near/botton part of the pad, but more difficult (less travel) when clicking on the part closer to the keyboard? Thanks for the great review!
I'm looking for a new laptop mainly for content creation (adobe premiere, after effects, lightroom etc.) would you recommend this Lenovo Slim Pro 9i over the HP Envy 16 considering there's around a $400 price difference? I was also looking at the Samsung Book 3 but fear I'd need the Ultra instead of the Pro for the graphics and that's out of my range.
Can you tell us at which resolution you set games for those FPS numbers? Anyway, I've just ordered mine (exactly like the one you reviewed here). Can't wait :)
For those that have this computer, how much battery life improvement do you see if you reduce brightness and cut down refresh rate to 60hz?
Great review as always! thanks and the device it's a fantastic model.
Best Laptop Review I’ve seen so far. So many details but at the same time so easy to understand! Very very nice!
Andrew, do you know if the display can be pushed toward 1200 nits in SD content, e.g., MS Office? thx
Hi Andrew, How would you rate it against Thinkpad X1 carbon gen 11 and yoga 9i pro ?
Hi, great review as always! The display looks kind of reflective, is it glossy?
What screen resolution were you using during the game benchmarks?
I have the i9/32GB RAM/4060/MiniLED/1TB SSD model and I love it. It's a fantastic laptop, except for the battery life (and I also wish it had a digitiser to support pen input). Keyboard is wonderful and the performance is great. OS needed updating and debloating on receipt but that's par for the course these days; it just sucks to spend £2000 on a laptop and still receive it with a trial of McAfee installed.

I commented in the live unboxing. Got mine in Spain, i9 32gb 4060 3k ips. I've been playing some warzone games and it's impressive! It runs quiet and not so hot. BTW I got it for work (software developer) and it's amazing for that. You should mention that target as well.

Uugh, finally we got a great review on this model. I've been glancing at this laptop for over a month but didn't want to buy without a proper review. Thanks! I work with landscape 3D models (in Agisoft and Lime). Do you guys think I should go for i9 and 64 GB RAM? Or i7, 32 will be enough? Thanks!

Andrew, Alvin, hi! Thanks a lot for the top notch review and feedback on this device. Battery life truly is it's weakness and I wanted to ask both of you the following. Laptops with great battery life in the windows category are typically ultrabooks with integrated graphics such as the HP dragonfly. Did you try and see how much battery life can be improved by disabling temporarily the dedicated Nvidia GPU and, say, switching to an economy mode? Thank you again and in advance, for your attention and reply.
@HadrienCoadour

... and by taking advantage of the high brightness capacity of the device to lower it to a level offering great visual comfort while improving battery life. All this of course is for when you're on the go and should be switched back to normal when plugged-in again...
Great review, but a smaller gap in info: Would the optional touch screen be pen/stylus compatible? I see one isn’t included but I’m in real need of this feature, will happily buy the pen extra… maybe I’m being stupid any anything touch IS compatible, but I’d rather ask and be sure :) anyone who knows please reply!

How do the speakers on this laptop compare to the Apple Macbook Pro 14?
Hi Andrew! In your opinion, the battery life of this laptop with ips panel will be more longher then mini led panel? Thank you and great review.
Another nice PC. Camera looked good and sound is good. When comparing all these PCs against the Macbook they just about all sound inferior. If one buys this PC and listens to the sound alone without other pcs next to it they will not notice any difference in sound and then that unit will sound good. For example if you go into Bestbuy and see a 65 in tv next to a group of smaller screen tvs then the 65 in tv screen looks big. If the 65 in tv is next to a group of 75 and 85 in tvs then the 65 in tv screen looks small. If then boils down to your frame of reference. Great review.

@ryanbeaudoin6639
10 ай бұрын
@@connoreasley1222Yah I was really considering that one especially once they released the zen 4 7840hs version. However, the 16gb of ram just made me a little weary due to future proofing and 350 nit ips is a bit dim in bright environments despite being an otherwise great 2.5k display. Honestly, the reason I went with the 9i was because I ordered it with a Aug 21 ship date as this is when I needed it by and thought I’d have time to cancel if need be but it shipped early so made the decision easy for me lmao. Since price was no issue and it only needs 140w usb-c, the 86wh Anker 737 at just 1lb seems like a fine solution for when there’s no outlets available. Definitely envious of the ryzen battery efficiency tho.
Isnt there supposed to be a 4070 one also
Can this play bo3 custom zombies on steam at max settings? (I’m a Mac user looking for a replacement for my recently departed MacBook Pro) :(

Does this have anything different considering chassis etc compared to the Lenovo Yoga Pro 7? I can find both of these laptops and don't know which one to get. Only differenxe specs wise between them is that Yoga Pro 7 has 7840hs Yoga Pro 9i has 13705h Otherwise they both have 16gb ram, 1tb ssd, 3k 120h ips display, and rtx 4050 Yoga Pro 7 is 1500€ Pro 9i is 1900€ I'm quite puzzled what makes the 9i 400€ more expensive cause on the spec sheet I cant see it (unless being intel is that more expensive here)

@@TheFFsage speakers and webcam (5mp vs 1080p) are also better. Also, in my region the $1900 model is the 3k mini led (1200 nits) instead of 2.5k (only 350 nit) ips, 4050 instead of 3050 (both 6gb) 32gb ram instead of 16gb on pro 7. The zen 4 processor definitely makes it appealing tho due to comparable performance on the chips and battery life. However, seems like thermal throttling is more of an issue on the pro 7 and less wattage to components.

@@ryanbeaudoin6639 I've been fumbling around with these devices for weeks and hard to pick. There is also a non GPU variant of Yoga Pro 7 that has 7840hs but sadly it has the 2.5k 90hz panel. If it had the 3k 120hz one I prob would have gone for that insrantly cause less fan noise, better battery life, and better heat, and the iGPU is good enough for indie games. I do have a PS5 so dedicated GPU is not a must have
From screen to cpu gpu have technologically advanced except for the battery.
Simply Superb in my opinion!! Lenovo does it right and this is the epitome of a Great laptop with only minor flaws such as the okay battery life. The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i 14” (2023) has a lot going for it with too many positives to mention and not enough negatives. So the positives outweigh the negatives here and you just can’t go wrong with this laptop for sure. The speaker quality sounds rather good for a Windows laptop and so this powerhouse is Highly recommended!!! Excellent job Andrew! 👍😁

intel Xeon W-10855M with Nvidia Quadro T2000 With Max-Q Design or Intel Core i7 - 11850H with Nvidia RTX A2000 who is better ?
I recently purchased a Lenovo Slim 7 Pro X 14" (2022) laptop with Core i7-12700H, 32GB (DDR5-5200), (3072x1920) IPS, 400nits, Nvidia RTX 3050 for just $800. It's a very fast and responsive laptop, but the battery life isn't great. I'm considering whether it's really worth upgrading to the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i 14" (2023) that Andrew reviewed in his video, which has an i7-13705H processor, 32GB, Nvidia RTX 4050, for an extra $700 (Best Buy is selling an open-box model for around $1470+tax). The i in Lenovo names is just to differentiate intel cpus, the non i version will have an amd cpu
why not amd 7840hs ... 13905 orr 13705 too hot for this small.
The soldered RAM for this 9i this year does allow for faster RAM clock speed and Lenovo does advertise this as a feature. The same way ASUS does with some of their Zenbook pro.
Sound test together with a MBP 14" (M1/M2) would be interesting. At least I did it by playing it on my MBP 14" in tandem with the one played in this video and no surprise, MBP was clear winner.
