The Lenovo Legion Y32p-30 is a very nice Ultra HD, 31 inch, 144Hz gaming monitor.
It has a classic robust design and while it has good tilt angles, it cannot be tilted vertically.
Games and media look great with HDR and high refresh-rate enabled. And the 4K resolution is great for productivity work.
When it comes to input/output the screen has everything you might need.
It has 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, 1 DP 1.4 port, USB upstream, audio jack and a fast USB hub.
The built-in speakers sound a little like tin cans, but they are nice to have, and they work via DP port without any extra cable.
The monitor has many nice little features, such as smart-light-sensor, different game-mods, refresh-rate overlay indicator and Picture-in-picture.
Most of all I love the KVM feature. It is like a built-in docking station.
It allows me to share a single set of keyboard and mouse between two different devices.
Here I have my gaming pc connected, and now I can also plug in my laptop and switch between them with a press of a button. Alternatively, I can also plug-in my phone and use it in Samsung Dex desktop mode.
It would be nice to have more than 2 regular USB ports, (which I constantly use for my keyboard, mouse and headset), but we get this nice and versatile type-c cable instead, where I can plug in my USB hub or to quickly charge my phone, depending on my mood.
The headset-hanger is a nice touch.
And the RGB-lights also add a nice effect to it.
Lenovo claim that we can control monitor settings with their “Artery” app, but it looks like they neglected to maintain this software…
Overall, while there are many fancy monitors out there, this one seems to offer the most for the money now in 2024.
