I have the i7/4060 version of this laptop and boy oh boy is it amazing. Really portable for what it is, blazing fast performance, pretty manageable heat and fan noise, and the display is really fluid to see. Amazing laptop for what it is- can’t complain much.

@@bashfullJ88 Yes and no. Hotter but like 30-ish mins more of battery life according to people I know. + Intel has better multi core performance due to the hybrid core platform. (Battery life is alr great for a gaming laptop for the Intel ones anyways.)

Will the i9 perform similar or should one get the Ryzen 7 for better battery life?

The extra benefit is it can be used for work. The Nvidia RTX 3070 is good for machine learning too.

I beleive that there are only two bottom firing speakers on the backside. The speaker grill design above the keyboard is only for air intake I believe, pls correct me if i am wrong, thanks.

Without any changes, it lasts from 3.5 to 4.5 hours. But if you do the following, some youtubers claim it can get up to 10.5 hours, but I haven't tried it as long for myself, but can assure you it will last more than 6.5 hours. The settings changes to be done: Select the quiet mode, turn on battery saver mode, bring down the refresh rate to 60 htz, turn off backlights, select integrated gpu only, and bring down the screen brightness to under 20.

Please DON'T BUY this Legion Slim 7i laptop. You're limited to Windows 11 OS only. Lenovo provides drivers only for this OS version. You can't install any other Operating Systems on this machine. It has provisions only for two RAM slots and two SSD slots. I bought one by my wrong decision. Now I regret. Please don't buy this Legion SIim 7i 16IRH8.

wow, must be toasty with those two.. I am waiting for January sales, will go for Ryzen 7840hs, 4060, both will be great for lower temps and longer battery life, while giving plenty of processing power...

@@edgargabriel6640 Performing perfectly, doing what? video editing/rendering/exporting, simulations, encoding/transcoding, gaming? or Internet browsing and content consumption? because in quite a bit of reviews of laptops, they stay silent, but as soon as slightly more than base or idle level of activity, the fans go from 20-25 Db, to like 45.. And quite few people bemoan i9 in a thin body, while saying 7 Pro has far more appropriate cooling solution for it.. But, if yours works fine within the parameters you require, honestly congrats.. Rarely are people so satisfied with their machine...

@@mohimrahman2889 I would say about 4 hours in silent iGPU mode. OK for me as I use a Yoga 7 14 gen 8 for that mostly (travelling)
