The Duet 3 has just been released by Lenovo. It is an 11 inch tablet. It has the same processor as the Duet 5. So Lenovo has you covered if you are thinking the original Duet is too small and the Duet 5 is too big.

Yeah although I guess the limitations are that it only supports USI 2.0 not 1.0 pens. Not OLED. Also I find that it's hard to find the 8 GB of RAM version sometimes

Is the gpu driver on each of the devices still “freedreno 618”? I returned my spin 513 having the same chip but the android games like subway surf seems to stutter quite often. Maybe it is due to the fact that the adreno driver hasn’t been fully optimized, or that spin 513 is running the 7c chip in lower cpu frequency (only 2.1Ghz).

it's Adreno 618 and a good point. I had a similar issue with HP X2 11 when I installed the Fifa Mobile 3 months ago and it was extremely unresponsive. Last month I tried it and it worked really well. It's the optimization issue of new hardware.

Hi! I was planning on getting chromebook which one do you suggest for minimal work like presentation student work and watching casual videos? The lenovo Chromebook duet 2020 ver. Or the HP X2?

I would go with HP X2 11 or Duet 3. I would also recommend Duet 3 over HP X2 11 if you dont care about slightly better build quality, microSD card, fingerprint scanner, and wireless pen charging options that HP X2 has. Duet 3 performs better than HP X2 11.

The duet 5 screen looks reddish. Did you try to calibrate the screen colors to fix this?

It is reddish. It is not possible to natively adjust the color temperature in Chromebooks till now. The only thing you can do is to turn on the night light and modify it from warm to cold, but that doesn't help this issue. The video editing app that I use also added more reddish color to the video. Check my new video regarding the Duet 5.

Hey AmSatt, do you think it's best to get the HP on sale for $300 or wait for the Duet 3?

tough question to answer: Advantages of HP: Build quality, micro-SD Card, Wireless Pen charger, aspect ratio (for me) Advantages of Duet 3: Slightly faster CPU (Gen2), thinner and lighter design (better for tablet), better trackpad (HP X2 trackpad has an issue), better battery I guess (HP battery is okay) to sum up, Duets advantages are more practical in daily usage than HPs one.

Anybody knows if stylus for this tablet support hover function when browsing internet? Means, If you have its digital pen and put it close to the screen very close but don't touch the screen, does the screen react to it?

really good point, I know from Surface Pen which when it is close to the screen it shows a cursor. I didnt see such a thing in Chrome OS. It is a software shortcoming!

Would you consider the Hp over the Matepad 11? both are at same price in my country and Matepad includes pen... I do not use it too much but it is included anyway, I will use more to study and read edit pdf and excel, word documents; I wonder if Hp is enough powerful on android productivity apps. Thank you man.

if you think you can get your work done with Android Apps get the Matepad 11. HP is not fast compared to Matepad 11.

get the HP one only if you NEED the full chrome browser and Linux Apps

Does the duet has USB type C? And which of the two products would you choose?

both of the devices have 2 USB-C port. Duet has the egde as each port is in the opposite side of the device. It makes it easier to charge it from left or right, you have the option. I have the HP X2 11 and I kept it. Duet 5 is too large for proper tablet usage. Now with the release of Duet 3, which I will do the review in next few weeks, I might recommend Duet 3 over HP X2 11. Duet 3 is cheaper and thats a big selling point.

damn, why did Lenovo make such a big screen? 10' was perfect in my opinion

Well now they have versions with 10 in 11 in and 13.3 in so there's quite a bit of variety.
