If your laptop has an HDD and if it's running slow, consider upgrading it with an SSD and RAM. In this laptop, RAM was already working fine so, we did not upgrade, we will replace RAM in future upgrade.
Installation of SSD and RAM could differ from brand to brand, due to make of model, please observe carefully before attempting to upgrade.

I carried out the same install but used a 12.7mm caddy for the optical drive instead of 9.5mm which may differ based on thickness of the original optical drive. Booting is so much faster it’s hard to believe the computer is 10+ years old - cheers!

There is no particular limit for computer's storage you can add as much as you like for example you can install 1TB, 2TB, 4TB it up to your capacity. For RAM you can install up to 16gb (2x8) DDR3 1300mhz Check description, all components are given.

Agar aap SSD aur HDD dono hiey use karna chhate ho toh cd drive use nahi kar paoge aur waise bhi ajj kal koi cd ya dvd use nahi karta hai. In case agar aap use karna chhate ho toh aap external CD player use kar sakte ho ya phir... Caddy ko wapas cd drive se replace kar sakte ho
