I noticed the Duet 5 has a noticeable white balance shift toward magenta. I don't think it just camera angle because I have noticed it on several reviews. In this video is is most noticeable in the sound comparison footage starting about 5:20. Is it as obvious in real life use?

I just bought the duet 3 I already have a 15 inch legion I think being smaller is better to the university to take notes, use word excel, just need to figure out about the pen

Nice comparison! I bought the Duet 5 shortly before the new one came out and was worried I would regret it but nope! It's just a better desktop experience, which I wanted more. And a monster sized tablet is honestly fun to use lol. I think the slight performance and battery differences might be due to the 2k screen on the 3, same processor, but more pixels to push. But I could be wrong, I dunno.

The Duet 5 has a larger 16:9 screen with 1920x1080 resolution, while the Duet 3 has a slightly smaller 15:9 (aka 5:3) screen with 2000x1200 resolution. In terms of pixel density, the Duet 3 has 213 ppi whereas the Duet 5 has 166 ppi. Higher ppi means more battery power, and that's before even counting in the battery capacity. So I'm not that surprised to see the Duet 3 has lower battery life than the Duet 5.

anyone knows if an ipega controller is compatible with any of this chromebooks?

I have the Duet 5 and the Android equivalent of the Duet 3, size-wise. And I prefer the Duet 3 format: more compact, easyer to handle as a tablet or a small computer à la Surface Go. The only downside on the Android model is the keyboard, since the "M" key is very small, like they used to be on 701/901 EEEPC back in the days (the AZERTY Chromebook keyboard has a different layout, thankfully) . I really prefer the smaller Duet 3 to the Duet 5, especially since I can plug in a larger keyboard if I have to type for long periods; the screen has a better format for what I do (mainly text editing), it is much lighter, and I think the Duet 3 sounds better (but I'm no expert). Only cons: no headphone jack, plus USB-C-jack adapters are crap (the sound cuts off for no reason) and a single USB C port. I'm considering selling the Duet 5 and get the Duet 3 for all these reasons.

Been wanting to try put chrom OS device and narrowed it down to the duet for their 2-in-1 functionality and also be able to run android in tablet mode. Decided on the duet 5 because to me, the extra screen size matters. I had a 10 inch tablet before and thought it was just a tad too small for media and productivity work.

Thank you for the comparison, I am starting to feel a little buyer's remorse for the duet 3. I just wanted a smaller device as a companion to my 14" windows laptop so the 11" duet 3 made for sense. The pen support situation is really frustrating because I wanted this as a note taking device and right now there is no pen in the world that is officially supported by the duet 3. If you know of any USI 2.0 pens out right now could you let me know? I found nothing

I loved the idea of using Duet 3 for work. I do a lot of people and technical management so don't need a powerhouse. Unfortunately ChromeOS is missing essential tools. No Zoom (the new PWA app is terrible and doesn't support screen sharing), no Outlook and no Slack makes it a no-go for me.

We always see a lot of Windows tablets but very few ChromeOS tablet, so it's great to see Lenovo made one. But because of ARM chipset, I can install Andronix on Android smartphones. So despite me liking this tablet a lot, I'm still struggling about the idea of buying one.

I also use Andronix, but you do want to consider ChromeOS, even with ARM chipset, because of hardware GPU acceleration. That is something Andronix can never do until Termux gives such a capability. P.S. If you do care about GNU Linux more than Android, I suggest to stay with x86 as it has wider desktop software support compared to ARM.

Funny how they are priced by thir name. Duet 3= 300$ Duet 5=500.

why buy a Chromebook for gaming,,,, i thought Chrome OS was designed for productivity,,,, Gaming on Windows is obviously preferred

You only notice that in the side by side with the Duet 5. If you're just using it normally that's not an issue.

yeah i ordered a surface go 3 once and they gave me the orginal surface go 1, i was like uhhh, LOL (luckily this was the only time this happened)
