Well if Lenny wrote the lyrics and the music. His pedigree shows! This song is as cool as it gets! "IT just has a groove all of its own" ! This is like 30 year's old this song... Taylor Swift has a song "shake it off" Nice Girl! But can't Compare the rubbish music in this century to last century! I mean Pink Floyd. The Stones. The Doors. The Beatles. Led Zeppelin. Van Morrison. The Doors. Elvis. The Eagles. All the Blues and mowtown Earth wind and Fire! Chicago. Carole King.Carly Simone. Bob Dylan. Carpenters. Fleetwood Mac. Jimmy Hendrix.Bob Seager. Niel Diamond.ELO. Cream. U2. The police. Prince. The Doors. The Beach boy's. Moody Blues.. Steely Dan. Super Tramp.Queen the list goes on and on!... Talk about the song "the day the music died". What about the Century that this world musically impossible to repeat! ☄️

Damn that Lisa Bonet...she's just a wrecking ball!!! (Relax, I don't really pretend to understand what goes on in people's marriage, but the tenacity and pain in this song is so raw and real...and the beat is crazy good
I had encounteted this song from the radio back in 1990. I was 12 years old Korean kid. I couldnt understand english and who the singer was. No internet or tools to know what the song was. In 2000, I was a korean air force soldier. My boss was listening this song. I asked him whose song is that. It could be rude to him because the rank between him and myself was huge. But he smiled and told me "Do you like this song? It's lenny k" it took 10 years to know his name and song. I am 42 now. This song reminds me of the days.. and never give up in my life.

Hi, I'm Ted Bundy and Adolf Hitler rolled into one. I like this song. Can we hang out?
Here we are, still together We are one So much time wasted Playing games with love So many tears I've cried So much pain inside But baby, it ain't over till it's over So many years we've tried To keep our love alive But baby, it ain't over till it's over How many times did we give up But we always worked things out And all my doubts and fear kept me wondering, yeah If I'd always always be in love So many tears I've cried So much pain inside But baby, it ain't over till it's over So many years we've tried And kept our love alive 'Cause baby, it ain't over till it's over So many tears I've cried So much pain inside Baby, it ain't over till it's over So many years we've tried And kept our love alive 'Cause baby, it ain't over till it's over So many tears I've cried So much pain inside But baby, it ain't over till it's over So many years we've tried To keep our love alive 'Cause baby, it ain't over till it's over So many tears we've cried So much pain inside But baby, it ain't over till it's over So many years we've tried To keep our love alive 'Cause baby, it ain't over till it's over So many tears we've cried So much pain inside But baby, it ain't over till it's over

Just in case you didn't know already but this masterpiece was written for Lisa Bonet and about their special relationship inclusive it's breakdown and the aftermath. At the time the track was written they were both considered as the most sexiest humans/couple alive (and probably for many people till today), both at their ultimate career high point. the relationship was crumbling or has already crumbled. as far as I remember correctly it was his way to find any words for the break up even though they still had the strongest feelings for each other.
I love how soul and rock blend together in this catchy tune. Lenny's voice is simply amazing and conveys great emotion.

Lenny Kravitz is so underrated as an artist. If I recall correctly, he played almost all instruments on the "Let Love Rule" album. In this song, I think he played all instruments except the Sitar. Lenny, a great example of taking something white and something black, and together something beautiful.

Ironically, this song was inspired by and dedicated to his wife Lisa Bonet at a very difficult time in their lives. In the end, they went their separate ways but still maintained a solid relationship. No wrangling or bad words in public. Class !

@@eldiablov2 It wasn't just Madonna. (Which he denies by the way) He was pussy hound back in his hey-day. This entire album is a dedication to Lisa Bonet. And it's obvious when you listen to it. Edit: if anyone doubts this check out his VH1 "Behind the music" episode. I love the mans music. He's the reason I took up guitar, bass, and songwriting. I played in bands because of his influence. So I obviously absorbed everything I could on him for a long time. They cover this part in his life pretty well. Lenny kravitz *"behind the music"* m.kzread.info/dash/bejne/k4SKt7Z7nripg7g.html

This was the first song I knew from Lenny Kravitz, I was teen. From then till now, this man is 🔥🔥🔥. But I had to come watch this video after seeing him get his Hollywood star and his interview with Sherri Shepherd today, it was hilarious. He kissed her and said, "It ain't over till it's over" 😂😂😂😂. [Verse 1] Here we are still together We are one So much time wasted Playing games with love [Chorus] So many tears I've cried So much pain inside But, baby, it ain't over 'til it's over So many years we've tried To keep our love alive But, baby, it ain't over 'til it's over [Verse 2] How many times Did we give up? But we always worked things out And all my doubts and fears Kept me wondering, yeah If I'd always, always be in love [Chorus] So many tears I've cried So much pain inside But, baby, it ain't over 'til it's over So many years we've tried And kept our love alive But, baby, it ain't over 'til it's over [Instrumental Interlude] [Bridge] Ooo-hoo Ooo Ooo-hooo Ooo Ooo-hoo [Chorus] So many tears I've cried So much pain inside But, baby, it ain't over 'til it's over So many years we've tried And kept our love alive 'Cause, baby, it ain't over 'til it's over So many tears I've cried So much pain inside But, baby, it ain't over 'til it's over So many years we've tried To keep our love alive 'Cause, baby, it ain't over 'til it's over (Over, over, over) So many tears we've cried So much pain inside But, baby, it ain't over 'til it's over So many years we've tried To keep our love alive 'Cause, baby, it ain't over 'til it's over (Over, over, over, over) [Outro] So many tears we've cried So much pain inside Baby, it ain't over 'til it's over Over

Timeless is the perfect word to describe this song. I first heard it on an album my parents had circa 2000 and then I was amazed to find out it actually came out the year I was born 1991. And most people say it sounds like a song out of the 70’s not the 90’s. That’s the timeless effect it has it sounded like a nostalgic song in 1991 when it was new and it still sounds like a great bit of nostalgia that hasn’t dated a bit even though it’s over 30 years old you wouldn’t even think that if you didn’t know.
Always food to the soul ohhh Lenny Kravitz.
I still got the vinyl. So many memories with that Album. My youth has gone but Lenny's music here forever ❤
This is one of my favorites by Lenny Kravitz. I believe he wrote this song around the time of his breakup with Lisa Bonet. I hated to see them breakup. However, they were blessed with a lovely daughter.
Masterpiece, never gets old.❤
