Note Lennox here STILL has perfect speech. THAT tells you just how good he really was, especially when you consider he was fighting in the heavyweight division, where MOST boxers really punch very hard. For me? he was most definitely 1 of the very best of them all. Tc Lennox.

Lennox was an influence growing up. As an athlete I wanted to be as ferocious and feared as tyson, but respected like Lennox . He always stayed straight with being humble and focused, no excuses, pure professional. Tyson matured over time, and I'm so happy to see Mike finally enjoying being the good guy and over the vanity of being the bad guy. He looks like hes loving life now too. They can hardly have been expected to fight each other. Whilst Wladimir is not most entertaining fighter, and his was not the most prolific era in heavyweight boxing history, he's had a tremendous career. 18 consecutive title defenses and almost 10 years as champion. Biggs Tucker Berbick these these were all really good fighters! And he steamrolled them! (Besides tucker) but 1 every round!... That's why it doesn't matter! just look what he did and how he did it! This is why Tyson is so big! even today and so iconic! Most exciting and relevant fighter ever! Ali too! 1&2! ..... as far as Douglas he never should've took that fight! He wasn't in the right state of mind he did not train he partied his ass off had a disaster for a life, the wheels are off the track because of Robin all because of Robin and king!... surrounded with yes-man it's a fact he did not train he did not take Douglas serious at ALL! But he was no match for Lewis or Holyfield. Who were both older than him, so all that over the hill shit goes out the window. Yeah he went to prison but so did Hopkins, shit Ali was banned for three years. And they all came out strong. Mike fought bums and lost to the two top talents of his generation. Mike didn't even make the Olympics. He wasn't good enough. When it's all said and done. Numbers don't lie, and Lewis has the best names and the best record

People on here saying that Tyson in his prime would have won. What does it matter. You can only beat the man put in front of you, and Lewis beat everyone he ever faced. He is s true champ. In my opinion he beat Hollyfield twice, as the first result was a blatant fix. But back to Tyson, different boxers peak at different times. Tyson peaked early, Lewis peaked later. I'm a big fan of both, and loved the old Tyson. However, I think people look back with rose tinted glasses. As strong as Tyson was as a boxer, I never see him beat any real, true greats of the sport. Yes, he smashed a lot of nobodies, but never really beat a real all time great. Does that taint his legacy? No. As I said with Lewis, you can only beat the people put in front of you, and both boxers did this in their prime. With the state of the heavyweight division in recent years, we are lucky to have had Lewis when we did. He was the last truly great heavyweight.

But now after he beat everyone and then some, the U.S fans are starting to appreciate just how great and tough a champ he really was. This man did not let his sole two defeats go without destroying the two that he lost to. And his defeat of Holyfield, Tua, Briggs, Tyson, Klitschko, Mercer certainly puts him in anybodies top 10.

I’m a huge fan of Mike Tyson but I don’t think it would have been any different. Lennox was too big and strong - Think back to prime Mike Tyson against Tony Tucker - Tyson won but not only did he not knock Tucker down, it didn’t even look like he would knock him down. Tyson was the MOST EXCITING fighter of the modern era- In fact, Tyson was arguably the most exciting ever but Lennox was a better Boxer and a bad match up for Tyson. What you don’t see behind the scenes is that these guys, Tyson and Lennox, Tyson and Holyfield had all in fact sparred in their younger days and both Holyfield and Lennox handled Tyson okay. It is a wonder why they did not get their shot at Tyson earlier.
