LENNONYC Outtakes with ELLIOT MINTZ - part 1 of 5.

lennonyc is an award winning documentary about john lennon featuring some of the people who knew him. as is always the case in documentaries, most of the comments never make it to the 'final cut' because of obvious time constraints.
i was interviewed for approx. two hours, and the producers were kind enough to furnish me with the outtakes of the conversation to share with you.
the producer, who is asking me questions is not wearing a microphone. so, i attempted to include his question in my answer. this is raw, unedited and unscripted........just like john.

This was great. I just found your channel . Thank you for uploading. I’ve been a Beatles fan my whole life. I was born the year they broke up, but my parents were always listening to them (as well as other great bands from that era)- I’ve seen so many interviews with people who ‘knew’ John, yours is the best, not only the information about John himself but where you mentioned Yoko. I’ve always liked Yoko. She had such a unique and different way of seeing things. Thanks again. I’ll be binge watching your channel today.

Really fantastic interview Elliot!! And I was truly honored to once have spoken to Yoko on the phone in New York City. She was so kind, so personal & she really encouraged me with my own music. PROFOUND artist! Incredible human being! I'm so happy you were such great friends.....

You are a great story teller and very easy to listen too. Ray Manzerek comes to mind listening to you. Ray was a great story teller, and musician of course!🙃

“Approximately Infinite Universe” is such an other-worldly record. All of her recordings are wonderful to me, but that LP is such a mind-blowing artistic experience. Thanks for being such a good friend to her over the years. She’s a magical being.
