A Finnish rock band singing in English in Sweden about an American state, accompanied by a Russian military choir! As nameofthepen says, it's surreal - and I love it! The Red Army choir members seem to be enjoying themselves as well, judging by the broad smiles on their faces.

There's already a Georgia over there, they don't need Alabama! Seriously, you really haven't heard this song until you've heard it at The Cane Break in Birmingham, AL (not UK!), and unfortunately I think I remember seeing that The Cane Break has been out of business for a long time. In the winter of 1975 I was in Birmingham on a business trip to check out terminals at the new SSA Payment Center then being constructed there, so the song was fresh. I think it was a Wednesday night, which was the big night out when everyone went out looking for a date for Friday and Saturday. The band started blaring this song and the whole crowd went crazy! An experience to be remembered!

Thoughts and prayers with their families and the Russian people today. So sad.
I love the big grin on the bass balalaika player.
There are some that claim the Finns actually lost the war with the Soviet Union. I force them to watch this video and they usually reconsider!
Dude, that ending was EPIC.
You did not search for this, but you are sure glad that you found this.
Finnish culture has an almost brutal charm. love it.
I whistled simple man once on a flight from Spain to uk and experienced strong turbulence. Careful with that axe ............

Это прикольно:))). В Канаде русских ценят, относятся оч хорошо. В Штатах я уверена тоже. Богачи агитируют нормальных людей ненавидеть друг друга, но я уверена - не выйдет!!!

Then the poor people in RU (most of the population) should do something about the rich people (the oligarchs + kleptocrats).
This is sweet!
I love Russian People and this song just backs that up even more!

The coolest thing ever :)
Superb!
Now I've heard everything. "Ladies and Gentlemen, our next acts will be the Allman Brothers singing 'Volga River Boatman', and Wet Willie singing 'Dark Eyes' (Ochi Chyornye)." (Hey, turnabout is fair play, after all. I'd love to see what some of our Southern Fried musicians would do with those classic Russian songs.)
Fabulous.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 светлая память😢✌
Wicked cover!!! :)))))))
Music is a universal language.
