A Finnish rock band singing in English in Sweden about an American state, accompanied by a Russian military choir! As nameofthepen says, it's surreal - and I love it! The Red Army choir members seem to be enjoying themselves as well, judging by the broad smiles on their faces.

Today 25 .12.2016 We lost the great Red Army Choir, in a plane crash over Sochi-Russia...The irony of it all, considering the fact that Lynyrd Skynyrd (the band behind Sweet Home Alabama song), also died in a plane crash. May their great souls rest in peace. Уважение и респект Вам, ребята!

There's already a Georgia over there, they don't need Alabama! Seriously, you really haven't heard this song until you've heard it at The Cane Break in Birmingham, AL (not UK!), and unfortunately I think I remember seeing that The Cane Break has been out of business for a long time. In the winter of 1975 I was in Birmingham on a business trip to check out terminals at the new SSA Payment Center then being constructed there, so the song was fresh. I think it was a Wednesday night, which was the big night out when everyone went out looking for a date for Friday and Saturday. The band started blaring this song and the whole crowd went crazy! An experience to be remembered!
