I still think the Leningrad Cowboys were at there best in the 90's when they performed with the Red Army Choir.

James Maple As their Predecessors Sleepy Sleepers the Leningrad Cowboys always have been a group which never is constant. People came & went. The game good guitarists and occasionally great ones. Same with vocalists. The few constant guys never were the best musicians.

I love this wacken show with the black caballero cowboy suits with the long shoes and the leningrad ladies military dresses. this show is like seeing dear friends again.

Yeah, and i think Jore Marjaranta was their best singer of all time. And Tipe Johnson was the second best.

Three of these guys started out as a punk band about 30 years ago, then for a joke they pumped up the hair and the rest is history, crazy Fins from Helsinki, Love 'em. definitely one of the largest cult bands in Europe

Shit, I just realized that most young people don't know what show band's are! Just suffce to say these Finns are the greatest!

I think because of the tremendous energy of the band, founder Sakke Järvenpää always intended LC to be an ensemble band where members come and go. Sakke is still with them, however, and playing the flag guitar here.

A pink lobster singing a Uriah Heap song can't compete with Total Balaika Show...but they tried.

It's like 25 years from their stardom and greatest height, and the two movies they made with Kaurismäki.. These kids don't even know what they are about. Why they even booked them.

Sheesh, if you don't think this is the greatest funky show band ever, you don't know what show bands are about. I know what show bands are about because I had to do them a few years as a living. When they were great, it was wonderful. Otherwise, it sucked. I think I'd like to play in this band.

I love the LC's but this is a very weak singing line up compared to previous ones.

imagine this singer is the same guy who said to me that "NO SIIS ERO SUOMISTUDIOIHI JA LOS ANGELESIN STUDIOIHI O SE ETTÄ LOS ANGELESIN STUDIOISSA EI OO PUOL METRII LUNTA HAHAHAH LUUSERI" And he used to sing in this band called "Kyyria". He was such a big shot. now just a loser.

Can't understand why uni-genre types would attend, but this group's schtick cracks me up! They do parodies of both East and West and are Finnish, BTW, not Russian. The Eastern slant is traditional Slavic music plus satire of the declining and finally dead communist empire. Lo and behold, some members perform on actual musical instruments! Yep, a little more to 'em than the typical three half-dressed, drugged-out guitar pickers and some clown with a Ringo Star drum set, all screaming their brains out in a cacophony of cultural disintegration.

always loved them, but this show... mmmhhh, and the crowd , very boring...
