INGREDIENTS
*cup measurements are just here for reference but I highly recommend measuring based on weight for more accurate results
🥛🍵 Milk tea:
120 g (1/2 cup) milk
2 g (1 tbsp) loose earl grey tea leaves
🍰 Cake batter:
195 g (1 ½ cups) all-purpose flour
15 g (2 tbsp) cornstarch
150 g (¾ cup) granulated sugar
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
115 g (½ cup) unsalted butter, softened
80 g (⅓ cup) sour cream
60 g (¼ cup) milk tea
2 eggs, room temperature
30 g (2 tbsp) fresh lemon juice
Zest from 1 lemon
🧁Icing:
25 g (¼ cup) icing sugar
5 g (1 tsp) lemon juice

    I just want to say that your videos make me so happy. When i was a kid, i always wanted to learn how to cook, bake or anything food related, but as i grew up, my chances of making my dream come true just disappeared. So, watching you make this videos since you were a kid, just makes me happy cause i know someone else is doing what i always wanted. Also i learn so much watching them. Keep going

    I love your recipe! I’m going to make it tomorrow. I’m making it for a school project and was wondering if you can add earl grey tea leaves in the cake batter would it change anything? Also my milk for the milk tea got skim in it. Did yours? And did you take it out? Thank you

    Hey! Glad to hear that! I think if you want to leave the leaves in the batter it would be good to blend it up a bit so they're not such large chunks. I'm not too sure what you mean by the milk forming skim, could you specify?

    Ooh I've never tried freezing cakes before but I think it could be possible. The texture would be a bit different I'd imagine so perhaps just make them in smaller quantities?

    @@JasmaFusionCuisine Thanks for the reply! I tried to freeze some other cakes before and it worked well. But it probably depends on the recipe. Yes, I can try to make less quantity 😅 but that means adjusting the mold size and the time, and I'm afraid to mess it up.

    Hi Jasma, i believe 2g loose tea leaves is 1 tsp, not 1 tbsp! The same error is also seen on your website

    Most people who watch this channel do not have a stand mixer. It'd be nice if you could make the cake by hand - you know, to show your audience how to do it. The cake looks delicious. And the 'drizzable" was cute - it's "drizzle-able", by the way! (Neither are actual words, though!) I will definitely be making this to honor my friend's 64th birthday - he's coming over today and this cake of yours looks easy, and I have all the ingredients at hand. Thanks again, Jasma.

    Stan mixers are all about convenience and saving on muscle. The visuals show you how the resulting mix looks, for someone without an automatic mixer of any sort.... just beat manually until it looks right! lol

    It adds so much moisture! You can also use greek yogurt.
