Vinegar is ascetic acid and will tarnish after a while. Lemishine is citric acid. Both clean well and should do that in less than 5 minutes if the right amount is in the mix. Vinegar leaches the pink zinc out of the brass quicker than citric acid. 1 teaspoon citric acid per quart of water is recommended, I have found I get the same results using 3/4 teaspoon per quart or a heaping tablespoons per gallon. The advantage of citric acid is that it will not penetrate or damage the brass like over the counter ammonia-based brass cleaners will, and it works even faster than vinegar. Also, citric acid passivates the brass, which means that after washing in the hot solution, the brass is actually made more corrosion-resistant. If you store brass for long periods, that's great news. I add a pinch of salt per quart because salt reacts with the citric acid to form a mild hydrochloric acid which helps the process along that's why I can reduce the needed citric acid to 3/4 teaspoon per quart. After I have clean brass I tumble again using water, Barkeepers Friend (couple of teaspoons) and a liquid car wash / wax. The results are brass looking bright and more consistent in color and most of the insides are bright, too. I tumble for 3 to 5 minutes. To reduce water spots I use as hot water as I can possibly get to wash my brass, cold water rinse is just fine. Dish soap is made to work in warm to very hot water.

if you use a water filter or distilled water you won't need to use alcohol even the brita pitcher with the carbon filter works well at removing calcium which is what leaves the spots

Thanks for sharing this. I've deprimed my first 250 9mm brass and was about to use my HF Sonic cleaner with the LemiShine and wanted some moral support :-)

I thought, maybe it'd need kool to make little coat hanger handles or similar, and attach to them shell holders, easy to set them in solution, then grab handles pull out of solution, all standing up yet, possibly clean little better too because they are separated. not sure. but good video thanks

Use your big container to hold your brass and solution, and fill your ultrasonic cleaner with water, you spend much less time cleaning your cleaner.

I was interested in if this could be done and what the results would be like, but after hearing "Uhhhh" repeatedly during the first 2 minutes, I stopped the video. Maybe write the info down, then read it while shooting the video instead of torturing your viewers. Also doesn't make your viewers confident in your knowledge- sounds like you're just making things up as you go.
