it was bad. keep in mind social media wasnt as advanced as it is now. so seeing them in person was a big deal. cos its not like you coud followe their stories or live videos or updates on instagram. you literally had to go out and see them yourself or wait for an article or blog post about them. They even had to hire bodyguards around season 2 because fans were always on set.

Most likely because they weren't filming their feet, just from the knees up maybe, and they had to do so many shots of the same scene so they wanted to be comfortable.

Some wold fight with me, some would tell to fuck off just cuz. Though I still love retail, because I am obsessed with fashion, but yea, it wasn't glorious at times

Their microphones will have noise cancelling qualities, especially since they’re really expensive microphones. Then to make the quality even better once it’s gone into editing studio they will further reduce the background noise.

Cree Lynn yep! A lot of outdoor dialogue is re-recorded for better quality. And then 99% of the ambient sounds you hear (like cars driving by, people talking in the background) are all recorded in a studio as well and mixed in.

I feel like there aren’t shows like this anymore and I miss it :(

I think that Serena will always be the "main girl". Even though people like Blair more and Blair is a queen, Serena will always be the center of attention. The main character. While Blair is definitely dramatic in her own right, Serena is the it girl. The beautiful, young socialite. She is always in the headlines for some huge scandal. Serena could get anything she wants when she wants. She had two ivy League schools wanting her. Not because of grades and achievements, but simply because she is 𝙩𝙝𝙚 Serena Vanderwoodsen. They just simply want her. And she never has any consequences for her actions. She is automatically forgiven, no matter what, just because she is the girl that you can't help but love and admire. She is the true it girl. That's how TV shows and movies are shot, because they only get the one day to shoot the scenes, they film as many as possible and then choose the best one of make an edit out of multiple shots

@@aena5995 Sorry should've clarified better. When filming in public areas like this they can usually only have it shut down for short periods. They will film any scenes from an episode there when they can, but they do film multiple takes of the same lines or the whole same scene because going back to redo it would be too much trouble. They either keep going until the director thinks they got it right, or they take a bunch of clips from the collective filmed portions and glue it together and make it look seamless in post production. But yeah, I'm sure they have good memories as it's their job. They spend months filming seasons of shows, sometimes 6 months out of a year depending on the show, so they have time to go over their lines beforehand

Gosh, that is insane. The sheer number of people who came out just to see them film. What amazes me too about stuff like this is all those people know who they are, but Blake and Leighton have no idea who ANY of them are. That would be SO wierd as any famous person.

I'm afraid a reboot will ruin the show's legacy, but I would love a revival❤ And just in case you guys think that revival and reboot are the same thing, reboot is a whole new cast and usually pretends the other plotline didn't exist. A revival is like Gilmore Girls a year in the life. Same characters, just older. I would like to see the OGs older, maybe their kids. But have a spotlight on them. A whole new generation seems good in theory, but it will probably flop like most other ones

I’m pretty sure there’s a team that specifically is in charge of sounds. Sometimes sounds of heels may not be coming from the actual steps of the actor lol, instead it might be made artificially
