    Hi, first of all: Great engine, I really like it. I do have to questions though. Is it possible that the size of your sliders is limiting you rpm range? Because if you look at your v8, it has a seperate crankshaft, but still revs higher. I think your sliders are so (relative for lego) heavy, that they limit your max rpm. Further, how is the rpm range over the pressures between 5 and 90 psi? You have to take into account that the higher the pressure, the higher the friction in the (fairly small) tubes. That results in a loss of pressure, thus a loss in rpm. That's why I think your sliders should be smaller, then you can reach higher rpm at lower pressures. Another thing would be wider tubes. I use 2.5mm x 4mm. The tube is very stiff, it fits stronger than normal lego tubing. This reduces the inner friction even more. Hope I can help you with making this amazing engine even better.

  • @GreenGeckoLegoTechnicWorkshop

    @GreenGeckoLegoTechnicWorkshop

    5 жыл бұрын

    Thanks, the reason why this LPE doesn't rev as high as my V8 is because it uses Big Cylinders instead of the small size ones in my V8 LPE. The big cylinders consume more air and the small 2x4mm tubing can only allow for so much air to pass through. if i increase the tubing size or used small cylinders, it would rev as high or higher than the V8 at the same pressure. I ran it at 90 psi to get enough air through the tubing to reach 1000 rpm. The sliders are the same as the V8 lpe.
