A benefit of lego stickers is that you can take off the sticker if you want the piece without the additional details that stickers provide(which is useful for MOC building), but you can’t remove the detail from a printed piece

You could use nail polish remover for prints

@@QBproductions_ yes, but peeling off the sticker is easier and better because you can reuse the sticker if you want, while removing the print is permanent

it is possible to print details over multiple pieces. Other companies do it all the time. They do it by placing the pieces on a plate and then printing right over all of them. Companies like the German BlueBrixx in their Star Trek Danube Class Runabout witch has amazing printed stripes that go over multiple tiles seamlessly. Lego should definitely start doing this as well, as their products are already a lot more expensive than their competitors' while offering just straight up worse quality.

I remember using ACTUAL Lego parts to perfectly press the stickers to avoud air bubbles. It didn't work all the time, but it certainly did.

Lego really need include 2 sheets of stickers with each set, because there’s been more than once where I have ruined one trying to get it straight, or dropping on the floor and losing it to the void. Spares would be nice, as they’re not easy to come across individually.

I'm okay with stickers provided it's a play set (i.e. targeted towards children and to be re-build several times) and the color matches the brick it's placed on. I think stickers are a no-no in display-only sets like most 18+ sets today. Best is how some alternative Lego sets are printing by putting the pieces on a plate and printing several pieces in one go without gaps.

I'm actually really good at placing stickers.

The stickers on my 08 republic gunship started cracking. To preserve them I put a layer of clear packing tape over them. They're still here.

I know stickers are hard to apply, but I think printed pieces have less detail sometimes and don't look as good. Maybe Lego should do more of what they do with the Lego Mario sets and apply the stickers at the factory.

Just use tweezers to aply the stickers
