Red cups were included since the first Lego falcon! Considering the "Red Cup" title was used during production, this marks a significant Lego/Star Wars overlap.

Actually, it's an officer who says that "several of the escape pods have been jettisoned." This line was written when the MIllennium Falcon was actually going to have escape pods visible on the outside (that design for the ship got reused as the Tantive IV, albeit changed a bit).

I Just got this set for $79 dollars at Walmart it was on clearance when scanned but not on shelf! Box looked clean and safety tape was normal. So excited to have gotten this for cheap

Wish this set had the cape closet. Although you can easily add that in with minor refurnishing

I think the engine room/ cargo area offers some space for that. Though in the bedroom/ bar area would make more sense. Also, behind the cockpit there is mostly unused space. Not much, but enough to hang up some capes? Let me know how it turns out.

Darth Kriegor Haha! So true! I finally found one on Amazon (not the private sellers) by some miracle. They pop up now and then.

If I am being perfectly honest the gaps do not bother me. While I would have rather done without them I feel like they do not detract too much from the main build. What bothers me more is the technic jutting out to ships sides and the random tan bricks. The spot bugs me the is the tan brick on the cockpit piece that sticks out like a sore thumb. Also, I feel like the changes in the build that created the larger and new gaps are what makes it a sturdier build. Because of this I find this to be a better a build than the force awakens version. While the Rise of Skywalker version truly is everything that you would want to see in a play scale millenium falcon i do not think that the kessel run is as bad as everybody makes it out to be.

Personally, I like how different this Falcon looks. The white does show more of the flaws as Jang pointed out, but I like it better cuz it pops more than the boring gray. I think I'll buy it when there's a discount, I think 170 is a little too high.

Got this one at a sale for 110,-€ I love it, tbh. I really enjoyed the film and since I have the „classic“ Falcon as a UCS set stilling sitting in a box waiting to find shelf space to be build, I just couldn’t leave this Kessel Run one in the store. I feel the classic design will always be remade and updated, but this version might become like the 2002 Jango Fett‘s Slave I, once released never to be remade.

I just picked this set up for $120CAD (after tax) retails for $200 here. what an awesome set. This was my first larger scale build, it was so much fun from start to finish. My daughter absolutely loves it. Thanks for all your reviews!

For just $30 more, you can get the latest 2018 UCS Y-Wing in which is nearly 2,000 pieces (about 600 pieces more).

Bought it for around $100. Its not bad. Don't know why people hate the blue coloring so much but I enjoy the design. I do wish when it came to the cannons that they were a bit more stable as the slightest shift sends them spinning in random directions. And I wish the satellite dish wasn't retractable and was a bit more stable as well. Other than that, I enjoy it and like the more "complete" design with the escape pod still intact.

We now finally know what happened to all those other blue bricks from the very first Milenium Falcon set...

OK i have a question for you. Would You please attempt to make the UCS millennium falcon, but with the blue and white color scheme from this one, and build a custom escape pod for the front of it. i think that would be an amazing video, even tho it would take a lot of time and parts. i think it would be really cool in the end.

Could you do a side-by-side comparison of this Solo falcon with TFA falcon. Looking at this video, it the Solo falcon looks kinda smaller

I have something to say about this sets price, so from what I know this $20 and £20 than the force awakens addition, and comes with 100 more pieces, which amount to as jangbricks says, a sturdier build, and a escape pod, and arguably better minifigs (if you are interested the previous set came with 6 and bb8, this comes with 6 and that special droid, so technically same amount of figures) Now I think we can all remember this happening recently with the Death Star, $100 and £100 more than the previous version with 200 more pieces, which amount to 3 new minifigs, better minifigs and small changes, But as Jang pointed out in his review for the set, if the original Death Star's price changed inflation, the price difference between models would've only been $50 and £50, so first we have to remember that the old falcon would've had inflation build on it in 3 years, so the price difference would've been lower Then there's the price per part, now the usual is $0.10 or £0.10, so this set has a higher PPP than many other sets, but unlike other sets this has many, many more big pieces inside, and price per part is based on weight and prints, not a price for every part, so that means the number of pieces used are less, but the plastic used is more So yes, it does feel to high with the current price, however it does seem to be fair, when compared to previous versions, but it does feel underwhelming for the amount of things you get for that price

I think many feel it's a bit shallow and doesn't really add anything significant to Han Solo. I honestly like it a lot, but I agree that the film plays it fairly safe. Would have loved to see a sequel though, especially to explore Qi'Ra and her past as well as her new role in Crimson Dawn more. I strongly believe they might actually follow this film up with a Disney Plus show.

It's white, it's just that it's printed on clear plastic that makes it kind of look grey.

I feel that the new chewie is more movie accurate as the head is wider and the random hair strands on it make sense. The 2014-2015 version i think the head is too skinny and the hair is too straight. Anyways this is just my opinion.

How does Jangbricks have all this time to review such great sets like this

I think I'm gonna buy this as soon as payday comes around. I've wanted a Millennium Falcon Lego set for as long as I can remember. Since nobody else wants this version, I can probably use that to my advantage lol

Please do a comparison between the 2011, 2015 and 2018 one, if you haven't dismantled them yet that is.

I'm probably not entirely qualified to answer this, but I've been watching JANG a long time and I think I've heard him say something about keeping a very select few sets together for display. So I'd think it's unlikely he has them together. However, I would very much like to see a comparison too!

Great review. I agree about the price. It's interesting that Lego fans continue to complain about the rising prices -- especially for property tie-in sets -- while Lego sales numbers fall AND YET the company continues an unwise upward pricing trend (beyond normal inflation). If Lego's downward numbers for 2017 were due to "excess brick inventory" then maybe they should be delivering a better price-to-part ratio.

Really feeling the play features on this one. Lots of places for minifigs to be stationed. Might pick it up after all, Should look great next to the ghost. and Love all the fresh design value in those minifigs. Their an intriguing colorful lot.

Someone should totally mod the UCS Falcon to look like this one.

I love your lets build stuff. You are truly a master builder.

It's been heavily discounted for months now, so with the $100-120 price tag I see it for now, it's a really good playset for a kid. Because let's face it, you're not going to be getting your kid a $800 Millennium Falcon. The Solo movie wasn't that great, but my kid liked it enough to be super excited about this variation.

machineofadream know matter if people like or dislike a certain movie I’m sure you can always find some good sets out of those films. Even the last Jedi had a fair few good sets like the Star destroyer for instance.

Another fantastic review as always sir. I ordered one of these last night off ebay for about 180. I really like this for some reason. Maybe because its the beginning of the Falcon. Like the single cannon, later you see it has like a quad cannon, well just like anything tech, things get upgraded. I also really enjoy the escape pod or new forefront pierce never used before. That really draws me to it. Ive recently go into Star Wars Legos about 2 years ago and did not buy the last Falcon, so I went with this. I watched your review of the previous and def. see some pros and cons, the rogue one seems more spacious and has a few hatches for smuggling in the floor. It is a little price heavy thats for sure. As for the white, I’m thinking maybe being this is the start, its how it was originally before all the wear and tear was put on it by its crew through the decades. I do see your point about the contrast and not being as tightly closed. Should be here Saturday, cant wait. Cheers mate.

Rocco Interiano I think the droids are just to have some more ,but I would much rather see L3-37 then that astro ish droid (I don,t really know the droid. But still fun to have. I do really like they put in a kessel mine droid because it was on kessel. But overal a bit dissapointing they didn,t made a L3 figure.

The color is nice. Personally I think it should have been red instead of blue, but it still looks pretty cool.

I am a sucker for a good Millennium Falcon Lego kit. I cannot afford the UCS Falcon so this will do :-) Though I already own the last two hehehehehe.

The only LEGO Millennium Falcon I’ve really wanted is the original from 2000, but might get this one (when its on clearance at least) cos it’s just so unique

It’s the millennium falcon. It’s not supposed to look nice from any side! Lol

Here they are, new Lego Star Wars sets for the new movie. I've always been a sucker for detail on the Millenium Falcon, the gaps in between the panels of the rear section are bugging me, and the fact that you still can't communicate the cockpit with the rest of the ship, even the UCS version had that problem! But it's pretty cool to see a "newer" version of the Falcon, newer than what we saw before, can't wait to see the new movie!

It's halfway between Episode III and IV. They've worked out a whole history about how the Rebellion is gradually formed from little splinter cells like one certain one we encounter at the end of the film. I can also recommend Star Wars Rebels IF you can get over the fact that it's a kid's show with lighter tone. It has actually some pretty cool concepts and episodes. And it's only 75 half-hour episodes, so it doesn't take up too much time.

Something about the front mandibles is off I feel. I don't think they're spaced as wide as they should be

Supposedly the escape pod from this set fits on the Force Awakens version, which would indicate they are spaced the same as on that set. But I completely agree that they FEEL different. I'm wondering if it's just an optical illusion due to the color scheme.

I just finally got around to building my TFA Faclon and now this comes out. I like the look and the minifigs. I think I might like the more open interior of the TFA version better. If this one goes on sale I might get it but $170 is just way too much for this. As always thanks for the great reviews Jang :)

I am so exited to get this set

I have the 2015 Falcon which I bought for $170.00 without tax. I got a pretty good price. I have seen the Kessel run in stores for as low as $135 (smashed box) to $170. For roughly the same price the 2015 is better. There is more detail, better colors and mini figures in my opinion. I personally do not like the blue on white theme colors or the bright color pieces inside. The escape pod is cheezy and makes it look awkward.
