It definitely looks like Anakin’s modified Starfighter from 2015.

I love how it looks like a republic gunship with its colors. It would be cool to see if his ship was built from the remains of the og gunship

Oh wow I didn't even think of that. I was disappointed that it wasn't Orange but this is really cool.

So excited for this one, but that price tag is not great. Lego's increasing greed is really showing for this summer/fall run of sets.

No it's due to inflation. People keep saying greed and greed flation but unless Lego wants to take a loss or see zero increase then they need to reiaee prices with inflation the " record high profits" are not that much higher or a percentage to previous years compared to inflation. Lego cant continue to grow, and make new parts, and crazy new sets without brining in an increase in profits. And if inflation is making money worth less then they need to bring in more of it

I'm actually really impressed. They're definitely taking advantage of our love for Jedi Robert with the $40 price tag, but the build is fantastic! Hopefully the clone armor looks cool.

I hope Jedi Bob doesn’t suffer from the Brittle Brown curse. Such a cool fig deserves only the best manufacturing.

Is brittle brown even a thing anymore? What I hate most is all clips from lego pieces with those things keep breaking like crazy. Pieces with clips as recent as 2020 have snapped on me. Good thing Lego has a free service for this or I'd be out of clips and droid arms

@@Makocat I’m pretty sure it’s still an issue. But I am not gonna experiment to find out. I’ve lost so many brown pieces. Luckily I don’t play with any of my sets or take them apart after reassembly. I am just gonna leave em as is and dust em off for stop motion only.

I wasn’t planning on getting this because I don’t really care about Jedi Bob too much but I might change my mind after seeing these pictures….

The way they kinda remedied the gap in the wings is really great, I’m glad they are putting in that little bit of extra effort to make this just that much better

Looks more Pizza-ish than usual. I love that Lego is making sets like this. It's a great change of pace.

The first thing that I noticed that reminded me of older LEGO sets, is the use of Technic ski poles for the wing blasters.

Modified Jedi starfighter??? Like the one from 2015? That’s pretty cool. I still wanted it to be just a standard starfighter but I like the fact it’s unique. No droid kinda sucks however. Jedi Bob looks great, but I’m not spending $50 Canadian for this overpriced set

It looks great! The throwback to the Anakin’s custom Jedi starfighter is such a great change of pace! I am definitely picking this one up!

I hope the double sided face has the old version of the face on one side, and the new face from Rebuild the Galaxy on the other

They could still put an astromech in this set like in the tie interceptor vs mandalorian starfighter.

You know what? Screw it, I love this set. Price-tag be darned! Giving a character that was made as a one-off Jedi YEARS ago a full starfighter and the spotlight in LEGO Star Wars is amazing and makes me happy. This is Star Wars! Having fun characters have fun sets to represent them is amazing. The price is one thing, the actual set idea is another. Thank you Ryan for updating us with this video!!!

I thought the 2003 anikans starfighter would be the best choice aswell, but I wish the engines were higher up w/ the hull flared up like the azure angel. Looks kinda odd being that low, I thought with all the modern car pieces they could really nail the look from the cartoon

Looks like underneath the wings there are also the launchers for the laser bolts. It's a nice play feature away from the stud shooters.

Everything is expensive in 2024. Take out the price and this is perfect. The most Lego has ever listened to the community, I don’t care what else is in this other than Jedi bob and this really really obviously thought through ship meant to appease long time fans. Lego takes a W on this one for sure.

My first thought was "it should have been Orange" but someone else in these comments pointed out that it's the color of the LAAT (Republic Gunship) which is the set he came in. That's an awesome design choice. I love how bulky it looks. This set is super cool.

im guessing it will have Alt builds included with the instructions, as this seems to be the theme of the "Rebuild the Galaxy" Id love for it to come with an astromech or more to show a way to rebuild it into a bigger ship

It's almost certainly the colour grading of the image, with the orange/peach background. But it looks like classic dark gray, rather than modern light bluish gray being used in the ship...
