LEGO® Star Wars™ CUSTOM CHROME NABOO N-1 STARFIGHTER | The Brick Collective & Brick Moon
Ойын-сауық
Designed by Jared Reisweber and finalized by The Brick Collective, this custom Naboo N-1 Starfighter with a chrome finish is objectively the best version of this ship ever made. Far larger than the official Ultimate Collector's version released in 2002, this rendition of the N-1 has instantly become the eye-catcher of my collection with its unparalleled chrome front and sleek finish. Building Kit by Brick Moon.

This is not a set, its an art piece. Not many will have it. I so agree. Its such a gorgeous ship
Thank you for highlighting this! What an incredible model. It was fascinating to learn about all these different websites I'd honestly never heard of before. I'll definitely have to look into buying some individual chromed bricks in the future.

Of course! There's so many different custom shops nowadays that it was great to find The Brick Collective & Brick Moon! The chrome bricks I can't speak highly enough on. I was worried about the quality going in with them being painted parts but CustomBricks really blew me away.

Hi, Brick-Collective here! First of all, thank you very much for this video, it was a pleasure to watch it and thank you very much for those kind words, I'm speechless 🙂 Also, I took a look onto the comments and I would like to address the price issue: All I can say, you are completely right in your video! We are a very small company, we have high costs on our side to make that possible including printing, prototyping, shipping, the designers work, our work, ..... and I can tell you that we ain't going to be rich with those instructions :D. However, I would also like to point out that those 95€ include worldwide shipping, which is a good amount outside Europe. So yes, I can understand it's expensive but I can assure we try to make the prices as fair as possible! I hope this makes things a bit more clearly. 🙂

Hi Brick-Collective! This set is amazing and really catchy! Is it possible to somehow order it in light bluish gray color instead of the chrome parts? I am afraid I can not afford to purchase it for 1450 EUR, but it would be soooooo good to have it with a lower budget. I see that the total costs of the parts on the website is ~330 EUR: "The price of the parts may vary, it is calculated via the average price of Bricklink and the “Buy All” function for Wantedlists". Is it calculated based on the light bluish gray parts maybe? I would truly love to put this set together, even with tha gray parts, nice design! I also tried to design a similar Naboo N-1, but mine is still in progress and not as smooth looking as this one. I prefer the paper version of instructions, however I would also buy it on rebrickable if I could build your set in light bluish gray.

@@Prodboy Hi, thanks for the nice words :-) yes it is totally buildable with grey parts, there is part list included which shows the necessary parts in light bluish grey (I think one part is in Dark bluish grey because it isn't available in light bluish grey). The price on the website is calculated without the chrome parts but also without those parts in light bluish grey, so I would rouhgly add another 50 EUR to get the parts in light bluish grey. There is no digital version of the instructions, we only offer a paper one 🙂

I really don’t like making negative comments, but the chrome pieces are doing a lot of heavy lifting for this model. I’ve designed a UCS-style N-1 Starfighter model myself, and the natural curves of the original ship are terribly difficult to represent with LEGO. If this were built with light bluish gray bricks at the front, I think you would see more how disproportionate this model is in a few places. There are some great parts to this model, but calling it the “best” is not something I’d agree with. Again, I’m sorry, I really don’t like making negative comments, and I can appreciate the good parts that this model gets right as well.

I agree. The custom set is fine, but not amazing. The chrome is the big selling point.
The og Chrome N1 is my white whale. I want it so bad but getting one is just absurd. This model and chrome method has really piqued my interest! Thanks for sharing!

What’s interesting about this one is the kit is around the same price if not cheaper than a sealed UCS version. Obviously not the case for used condition, but worth the thought

Hey I am new to your channel, and if you ever get the chance you should cover a lot of the limited one-and-done Lego themes that I loved as a kid too! Like Lego Power Miners, Monster Fighters, Pharoahs Quest, Space Police, Agents, etc. Obviously the longer themes like Bionicle G2, Classics and other themes are amazing, But those shorter run themes in my opinon really brought us some of the most unique Lego sets and stories that I have seen.

Awesome video! I really like the flow the presentation and everything you did to make this a really enjoyable experience to watch. But when you revealed the Price, holy crap, I honestly can’t believe it. This would have to be a one of 50 limited edition or something to be remotely worth that amount of money. Chrome paint is not that expensive. Painting LEGO pieces is not that difficult. There’s literally no justification for this price in any universe that I live in. it does look good
@AllOutBrick
3 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! Yes it is far beyond what any official set could cost (Although I do wonder what will be the first $1,000 set), but when I saw the chrome I knew I had to make it work and then create some content for it. I've painted parts in the past when parting out older UCS sets, and you could certainly do it yourself here with the chrome parts. Just up to you if the time/effort to achieve a similar result is worth the savings compared to the chrome kit for this MOC.
I really want you to make videos of the sets behind you please

I must be missing a piece of information here, are the instructions nearly $100? If so, that's a huge barrier to entry that's gonna prevent me and others, I'm sure, from ever even attempting the build.
@AllOutBrick
3 ай бұрын
They are. Having done printed instructions in the past this is maybe a little high for the size of this booklet, but it's not beyond the point of acceptable. It's tough with these sometimes because you aren't sure if you can ever do the build. I've been trying to get in a habit of buying the printed booklets if I think I might do it in the future so I at least have that option
@owenedward144

@@AllOutBrickOkay… but $100? This whole thing is a ridiculous expense. There’s no reality where that moc is worth $1600, at all. And don’t tell me the chrome pieces are worth it, I’ve seen a dude with spray paint make equally good chrome Lego.
No matter who the designer is, no matter which IP this is associated with, and no matter everything, plastic shouldn't cost $1600!

@Thinginator
3 ай бұрын
It is real LEGO though. That's why it costs so much. You're paying for people to collect all the LEGO pieces you need and chrome plate the pieces that need to be chrome. Even the chrome pieces are genuine LEGO underneath the chrome. It's a LEGO set made by LEGO fans rather than LEGO itself, but it's still real LEGO parts.
@AllOutBrick
3 ай бұрын
Spot on. It is real LEGO, just not an official set. Other than packaging and numbered bags the experience is the same!
I forgot how puny the official USC version was. Admittedly it was early days Lego Star wars when the part catalog wasn't really diverse enough to handle accurate ship shaping. But, this is such a huge upgrade compared to that.
