After watching Ahsoka last night, I must say, this model makes me fee more nostalgic than when I watched the comparison the other day. I just miss good Clone Wars sets, I guess

I miss this era of Lego star wars, these captain Rex box art sets went so hard

This one of the sets that have aged well since 2011, and hence the price reflects that.

I can't believe I've had this set on my shelf for 12 years lol

Cool thing about the Saesee Tiin figure is that the face print looks good enough to go with figures that do not have the cartoony CW styled faces.

The stress marks are from giving birth to the baby T-6 that's available in about a week.

When I got this as a kid, it made my day.. Ah the good old times!

Loved this set growing up, super hyped to buy the new one but the old one will always hold a place in my heart and my shelf

The nostalgia on this one was. I remember getting it from toysrus with my dad, I was hyped asf lol

I found one last year for only 45 euros including all minifigs so I had to buy it of course... Plus the guy who sold it also included Pong Krell and Even Piell! Building it was a very fun experience because it was used and, even though the set was generally in good condition, you could see the wear on some pieces and I could imagine how much a child used to play with it back in the day... That brought more joy to me t'han what I expected 😅😊

The lack of detail on the underside of the wing was understandable in 2011, sets were more simplistic and had less pieces, but now standards and expectations have increased. The 2023 model had the opportunity to surpass the original, and while I think it is built better the lack of detail really regresses it in my eyes.

I was given a used version of this set a few years ago, but never built it because no minifigures were included and MANY pieces were missing. Regardless, I think the set would have been great and would love to eventually get a new one.

​@@Starkiller3870It's nice to have a Lego Star Wars channel that's detail oriented. That's what makes his channel unique and not one of the many "good enough" channels. He knows how good Lego can be and points out when they don't hit that mark. Only time it's an issue is when he spends too much time complaining about a detail but he usually backs off before it really becomes annoying.

This shuttle is better because the cockpit is actually good

those anakin and obi-wan figures are still my all time favourite versions of them

I remember getting this set when I went to the Lego discovery center and building it in the hotel after and then dropping it in the lobby the next morning. Lesson learned: wait until you get home to build Lego sets

While this one is a nostalgia trip, the new one is a LOT better

5:27 its the print because its the same but a different colour

I have the same complaint with both T6, and it really isn’t a big one: the inaccuracy of the bottom wing builds. It’s really not an issue for display tbh

This set is a lot better to me only cus of the huge cockpit

(NOT T-6, but first AT-TE and gunship especially) older sets had more playability, despite being unsturdy.... modern ones have more display, design and overall... like metal or plastic non-lego MODELS. so... I haven't seen a great lego sw sets. but really good lego models... I can't stand of a feeling, that is wrong) new T-6 is amazing set etc, but small)))) I want to put inside at least 2 minifigs with my remodelling, but I cant) 2008 gunship had more space then will be in the USC Venator))) just a comment. Like your content. Waiting for 75046 review)

When watching Episodes 1 & 2 last night of Ahsoka I couldn't help but wonder why the new set was so small. I passed on this set back then for $40 clearance because I had zero interest in the animated Clone Wars and such and was new getting back into LEGO. I never imagined the designers would become stingy to Clone Wars or Prequel sets like it seems now. Should of bought them all when given the chance it seems..
