Agree. I got back into Lego after this set was retired and I really want it but refuse to pay scalper prices.

As someone who is weirdly obsessive over fictional layouts (which can and often don't make a ton of sense) I was always bothered by how this set DIDN'T follow the layout of the house too much. But then it'd probably be twice the cost. That bathroom shouldn't be there, that's open space in the show, Homer and Marge's room and en suite takes up the left side of the house above what should be the den and TV rooms, Bart and Lisa's rooms tend to be interchangeable, but most often are on the backside of the house, over top of the kitchen, which is at the back of the house, and the little seen Rumpus room, which is opposite the garage. Indeed, the upstairs rooms extend over the garage area. Maggie's room is fully over the garage and the main bathroom is above the dining room. The actual layout of the Simpson's house reveals it to be quite a nice, large house. I'd live there.

Love the info! I always watched the show as a kid, but hadn't really pieced together a layout. Thought it was weird that this set has the front door entering the kitchen. lol

If it was accurate to the show like this, I'd buy this for 2x the price for sure, doesn't feel like the simpsons house more so a house from the simpsons

The only thing that really bothers me is the fact that it doesn't have the section ontop of the garage wich ruins the perfectly accurate look. The interior isn't that big of a deal honestly.

I also really dislike the inaccurate layout of the house. I can look past everything on the second floor (aside from the window placement in Homer and Marge's room), but the biggest deal breaker for me is the living toom. The in-show layout is so iconic, to have the stairs oddly placed there along with the room having no connection to the kitchen just throws me off completely. I understand that the designers did the best they could, but I just can't not be bothered by it.

I like the old theme sets where they used pieces avaliable to achieve effects instead of just making custom pieces for that particular set which they seem to do more and more these days.

Congrats on getting your business up and running, its so cool seeing the growth. Also mad props on your production quality, great video, good lighting and exposure and great audio. Keep it up man.

As someone who used to own BOTH Simpsons sets, not really. The house is really inaccurate. I can understand missing out rooms like the basement and the Rumpus room, but even the main rooms are in the completely wrong areas.

I have noticed a lot of building hacks in this build. Its quite a nice set! Love the content man!

the set was controversial on release, how the figures looked (their eyes are the same) and a couple little details with the house. but it's an awesome set, and when the Simpsons minifigure sets came out, people made stop motion vids, using both versions of the figures.

I remember seeing this set a long time ago and wanting it so badly I love the Simpsons and something about this set is just so amazing to me the way everything is done hopefully they make new sets because I would definitely buy it this time

This is the one that got me back into Lego 4 years ago and caused a massive financial decline of my personal situation 😅

Id rly love to see a remake of this set similar to the home alone house that came out a few years ago. I feel they could remake the set with a more accurate interior and with the section over the top of the garage

Wheel barrow should’ve had a “load king” sticker on it. That would make it a real quality barrow.

For Simpsons fans, these set is a must. If Lego decides to rerelease this set, they could take some inspiration from the modular buildings, because, for me, the open form is too wide and takes too much shelf space.

I just bought the Kwik Mart, I do not have this set yet. I am debating on it. I have heard from people that have both and they say they like the Kwik mart better. Great review I just subbed.

380 Euro atm for this set here in Europe on Ebay.

This is neat! They need to make a Lego Family Guy house as well!

We need other adult animation lego sets like Bobs burgers, or Rick or Morty.

I really regret not buying this when it first came out, but back then I couldn't justify that massive price on a Lego set. Additionally, I always found that the interior looked a bit hollow, the bedrooms make me think of a prison, with the same colour walls as the exterior. I also don't like how everything splits up, like you said. Also, I think the uranium stick could also be used as the inanimate carbon rod. In rod we trust!

I considered it as well at time of release as a investment piece, as Lego nearly always appreciates in value when discontinued, especially licensed properties. But for me the box was too big to store in my house unopened for several years.

Hahaha never noticed their facial expressions, that’s the face I make when I look at the price.

The permanent split kitchen is a big downside in my opinion but I love the property of Ned Flanders signs. I also really like they included Ned in the set, probably so people who play with it can have Ned go and ask for his stuff back. I agree with the minifigs eyes they don't look great glad the Ned doesn't have it

Ahahah i thought the exact same thing about their eyes, looks like the three of them have been puffing the devils lettuce. Also love the camera in homer and marges bedroom for some homemade videos if you catch my drift haha. Love the adult humor.

I own this! Great set, but my only beef is that the roof doesn't sit very well on the house, and the front and back entrance doors to the house can't be closed if opened by mistake. Unless you don't mind prying the house apart. However, you risk breaking the house. I also have the Kwik-E-Mart. Easier build and the roof is flat. The sign was a bit of a pain to attach to the store and I broke the front, but I was able to repair it. Too bad they only did 2 sets. I would love Lego Barney's Bowlarama!

I liked it but close to home alone & ghostbusters firehouse which are the grails i want the most,it kinda looses a little.Worth mentioning i have the home alone and now i want like mad man the ghost busters firehouse!

About 2 years ago I got the Simpsons house and Kwik e mart for 250 TOTAL!

Oooof that floor layout and house itself is not accurate. I just bought the set and plan to modify it to complete accuracy which means extending the top floor over the garage

For me, it was the doped-up faces of the characters. Why oh why? No regrets now that I have no room. EDIT: Kwik-E-Mart is probably the better out of the two.

The accuracy is terrible on this set.. I can understand downsizing because of cost constraints, but the layout of the bottom floor and the rooms upstairs are completely borked

I was completely gut wrenched when I payed so much for this set, but they forgot to package the stickers with it. Literally nobody would help me. That’s why I hold such a grudge against LEGO. There’s always that fear of “I paid $300 for this, what if they forgot something”. It takes a lot of the experience away. But seriously, how can the package team mess up that bad.

Have you tried requesting a new sheet of stickers on the Lego website? I recently bought the stranger things set pre owned but I'm so picky about other people putting the stickers on that I figured I'd give it a shot and hit up Lego. Even though that set has been retired they still sent me brand new sticker sheets in the mail less than a week later

Lego customer support is literally the nicest, most easiest to work with I've ever seen. I once got my stickers in a set but they were busted, you literally go online, put in a request, and type in the code on the back of your instruction booklet and they will never deny your request

It's a crime how fast this theme was discontinued

The Kwik-E mart is so much better. Glad I have that set.

Great video. This set always shows its age to me, the building and color looks so basic compared to even early Modulars

If they ever release it so its cheaper and bigger I'd love to just use the house template for my own as its really a great dollhouse and I'm sure its very easy to make it more modular so if i ever could see this set again I'd totally get it to mod it to my own liking

In my opinion yes, since the rooms are not split. When you open the front doors, each room is together and makes sense. I have this on the schedule closer to the holidays, so I'll go into more there. Thanks for watching!

I wish they had made Family Guy sets. Or futurama for that matter. Rebrickable is great for these kinds of sets though that LEGO would never make. :)

I hate this set because of one thing… ITS NOT the same layout of the Simpsons house. As soon as you go up the stairs, you can go left or right, there is meant to be a secret rumpus room behind the garage as well

Yeah, it can be tough to know what you'll get online. Our parts wall helps a lot with "100% complete" sets from online. :/ If you're ever around Oklahoma City, definitely stop in and check us out!

It's a must have for collectors, you can get it cheaper on Stock X but just know they open the factory seal to make sure everything is inside the box and new and then they re seal it, so if you're ok with that I recommend stock x. If the box is messed up at all stock x will contact you to see if you still want it depending on box condition as well.

I don't like the minifigs, the moulded heads creep me out. Otherwise I'd buy the entire theme.

The house did not appeal to me. The Kwik-E-mart set I was all over the second it was announced. So much good stuff it that box. Dozens of items featured in the shows.

I am Missing the quick Emart, You know I never ever ever, paid attention to reviewers of Anykind or anything.I am a adult. I been buying toys way befor you guys. Tell me all, did you buy toys in Jr high & high school Like I did.I kept going with toys all my life. I never ever got rid of any of mine. One reason I had No friends in school cause of disability & toys made me happier then Humans. You Guys Did not have special Ed & special needs like I did & all can drive & ect while I can't.I bought toys all my life. When I saw this I had to have this. Yes I don't pay attention to reviewers & Such.I know what I like & I Buy it. Plus you guys don't spend 2 grand a month on toys I bet like I do. I have 0 savings.all my money is invested in my collection in 3 rooms of the house.I think another reason too way so scammers 7 Other people can't get at my money either.Put it something to what I really love.
