Feels weird to have an entire chapter for Spider-Man but only two pages for Iron Man. They should have displayed all the mark armors and the War Machine armors for a Hall of Armor fold out poster.

The problem with these books is that half the page space is wasted to fit a figure. They leave out so many details as they don't have much room.

I don’t have a problem with them focusing on a figure. But it’s when they make mistakes or double up the same figure when there’s so many others they could be showcasing

@@Ashnflash That's the thing tho, remember with the 3rd Ninjago character encyclopedia, they cut out a lot from the previous one just because of how many characters there are. If they made pages that wrap around the figure slot just like one of those nexo knights books, they would have more page space to further elaborate on everything. Also DK is notorious for errors, it's hilarious at points. I remember I saw a Ninjago set image from 2013 in a 2015 slot and they always get so many facts wrong. What can you really do, it's not professionals writing these books, they're really just made for kids who want a minifigure. I like them tho, they are kind of charming, I have fond memories of ordering them through scholastic by my teachers and flipping through them to see sets and figures that I didn't have. At the time, they weren't really sold in stores yet so ordering them was really cool to me.

It’s kinda messed up that they include Ghost Rider but omit The Punisher, Blade, and any version of Deadpool even though they made minifigures of them.

Great in depth review! With the original Visual Dictionaries I used to read they always showed the entire history of the LEGO theme with every set listed by year and now they tend to lazily reference the most recent stuff which I think makes these books pointless.

Punisher and his skull are a problem in Marvel, in comics and even in the new Daredevil series rumors says will be a problem even in the plot. Punisher in Daily Bugle set is a little miracle, I think he never come back as a minifigure

I keep saying they should do these like encyclopedias. Do the books by year or 2 giving high quality pics of the sets and figs. All large media based themes getting their own books ie marvel, DC, Harry potter.

I actually learned this from a college instructor, that once a book is published it’s already out dated, this basically explains this book lol

I definitely understand why it is so full of inaccuracies, it’s made for kids, not super-fans. The omissions make sense too, you can’t include every character and most kids, who probably just wanna look at cool mini figs won’t notice. The figures is a huge disappointment though. This book is also not made by Lego, which is probably why there are so many inaccuracies. ( I really liked the video and agree the book isn’t to great, but it will suffice for little kids) (:

Good to see that LEGO recognize their comic book sets, but why the hadn't made them in a while? 2023 could have been the perfect opportunity to realize tons of comic book sets for both Spidey and Avengers or even the GOTG (knowing that we will just have Captain America 4 as the only movie for that year with the possibility to make sets of), but they are really stuck with Infinity Saga.

I Hope Lego makes a proper Rhino and electro minifigure and make a lizard minifigures

I like your videos of them Here's some ideas I was thinking 1.Disney Animal Series like Lion King, Fox and the Hound, Bolt, and other animal characters 2. Disney Channel Figure Series 3. Another Pixar. This includes Lightyear, Elemental, Luca, and Turning Red. 4. Hocus Pocus Figure Series 5. Speed Racer figure series 6. Disneys Bolt mini figure set 7. Nick Jr and Nickelodeon Mini Figure Set 8 Disney Junior Minifigure Set 9. Fast And The Furious Minifigure set It would be cool if these were seen.

It’s obvious Lego doesn’t care about marvel fans, the people they hire to address our love is honestly pathetic.

I don't mind not having more minifigures. They should keep that stuff for the character encyclopedia. But when they omit whole periods of LEGO Marvel or go surface-level on everything, that's when it gets bad. You could check a video "10 secrets about LEGO Marvel sets" and you'd learn more.

If they include the nth iron man and is used in the comics I don't know what they are waiting for to give as a classic comic book mkII armor. Also the last pages of this book should be a list of every Minifigure by year with it's set number, we collector could use that. On another note, they should put the Minifigure with the book in a blister or something. This books take so much unnecessary self space.

The thing is to me it’s just an MCU book not a comic book. Yes, they did appear comic characters, but most of their characters is just based on the MCU not really comic. No comic minfigs like Wasp; a founder of the Avengers. No Deadpool, Blade, Ghost Rider. Just MCU avengers and guardians of the Galaxy. That’s all I mostly see I am glad that they made like comic Spider-Man, but not even he can’t even topple all the mistakes of what Lego Marvel doing to me I give this book a 5/10 mostly because it’s just a MCU book. But I do love the mini figure it’s super comic accurate.

Mistakes and errors aside, that minifigure looks fantastic.

The best Lego books are the Ninjago ones. Since it's a strictly Lego thing, pretty much everything is up to date and accurate.

why was the cmf in grey box, aren't those mcu?

Just noticed this recently too. Out of a sudden, all these DK books (SW, HP, SH) with figs disappeared in Canada, only the library versions available now. Not only the new releases, but also those have been selling for years. There must be a reason behide it, isn't it?

The lack of Deadpool really worries me that we might not get even one Deadpool 3 set 😬

I think it's very obvious we won't be getting a deadpool 3 set. 1. No rumours and film is out in 7 months. Its rated r so lego won't wanna do a set anyway. They have specifically taken him from the book as if he doesn't exist. So he is clearly being forgotten by the company and will never be mentioned or seen with a lego logo ever again.

Thats an R rated movie, so there is no chance of a set. If we start getting x-men sets regularly (rumors say that 2 may be in the way, so fingers crossed for them to be true and sell well) we might someday see him again, but I am not holding my breath fro that.

Why have i not received mine and i pre-ordered in august?

Pros for book: Has sorely needed COMIC Iron Man suit, is fairly detailed, has great pics, does included a nice amount of Lego Marvel history. Cons: NO DEADPOOL, NO PUNISHER, so many emitted sets, characters I mean they totally omitted Deadpool from the Wolverine chopper showdown and lots of inaccuracies on years sets were released.

To be fair the license that they had early on was with Sony and not Marvel.

I think they should’ve made a character encyclopedia rather than this. Those are never perfect either, but I think for Marvel especially, the figures are definitely the most interesting things. I think more stuff could have been included.

I am upset the most that Lego doesn’t even add Spider man Sam Rami into Lego marvel timeline, beside the Iron man mini figure instead other characters and missing so many different Lego marvel set!

Makes no sense to me…

Huge disappointment to receive the library edition on a pre-order. I ended up returning it to Amazon and doing a special order through B&N to get the edition with the figure.

Meh. I only got the Dictionary for the Iron Man fig, since I collect those. I did skim the pages, hoping it would have a checklist of all the minifigs released so far, especially for Iron Man, since I'm currently building up my own Hall of Armor and want to make sure what I have, since I would sometimes knock over some figs that don't have a proper display, and I don't want to have to go over brickset to check to see if anyone's missing everytime that happens. But nope, the dictionary doesn't even have that.

This. I've been saying for years that the last pages of those should include a complete list of every Minifigure by year and it's set number. As a collector it would be really helpful.

The figure itself doesn't really look bad, but I feel like new helmets are making minifigure's head too big and goofy

wait.....so for you to go through the book...you HAD to have the figure included? i get that there was an issue with these books. you're not the first to have trouble getting the one with the figure delivered...but you could have done this video when your first book arrived
