Im guessing you cant see any hulk buster recycling in there cant you the chest is most noticeable.

It looks like a good build It's just twice as tall or more than it should be.

The Iron monger is about 9 feet tall. The Hulkbuster MK I is 11 feet tall. So the scaling issue is for both mechs. The Hulkbuster is two big figs tall which is wrong. Realistically they should all be about the height of the lego Igor suit. They just wouldn’t make it look good in that scale.

In the scene where Obadiah is examining the armor he is on a step ladder. I believe you can see it in one of the shots. But in the fight you can clearly see it’s at least twoish feet taller than Iron man.

Love that we get a ‘box of scraps’ in this set

In a way it's similar to the hulkbusters where Lego can't seem to get the size just right but they've managed to fit detail in and that matters to me so I'm happy.

I think the best example of a realistic “human like” mech was the mr.freeze suit

I don’t think they could because they only got the license for Lego marvel in 2012 They were then only allowed To release sets from 1 film a year. :)

This set is making me really want to watch the first Iron Man movie again!

To make this set accurate, just build an Iron Man suit at the accurate height.

I glad we got an iron monger, but it’s to oversized

Nah! If you want Scale go get some Marvel legends or something. Mechs are great at this size in Lego. Theres a reason Igor got trashed to hell and back. Its too small to have enough detail without a ton of stickers or prints

I’m happy that we finally got Iron monger but he’s too big he should be the same size as the Igor suit or the Hulk big fig

The glow in the dark arc reactor surprised me! I like how the pistons work with the movement of the arms, and I love the mark III suit as well as the helmet that opens. Thanks for the review

My ideal set for this would’ve been an iron monger who was the size of a big fig and a build where the arc reactor was. Regardless I’ll still be buying this set

I just got this set and I have to say that iron monger came out much better in person than he looks on camera. Was a little skeptical of his size and wide shoulders before buying it however now that I have him built and posed I think he looks really good.

It's out of scale, but I'm still gonna ask my dad for this on Christmas. I love that Obadiah Stane and Iron Man Mk3 figure.

I'm definitely gonna get this set as soon as I can. Iron Man is one of my favorite movies, so I'm really glad we finally got a set from it!

This Set just makes me so happy when I see it. I don‘t care if it is oversized It’s an MCU Set and even and Iron Man Set 😱

Size be darned the design is so good and I need it on my shelf pronto. I really just love the aesthetic and overall look. Plus it’s an iron man 1 set! Something I’ve wanted since I was a really young kid.

I love this set so much and glad LEGO went back to the first Iron man and especially the Iron man mark 3

Back in 2008 I made my own Mark III minifigure with the help of a red Sharpie. Since Mega Bloks/Construx had the Marvel license at the time Iron Man 1 came out, Lego making an official Mark III minifigure felt like it was never going to happen. Up until this point they were only focused on making sets on whatever MCU movie was coming up next, I never thought they'd ever end up making sets from the years that they missed from 2008-2011.

I've been studying this set ever since I got it to make my infinity war hulkbuster better. The legs, arms and ankles are finicky on the hulkbuster. This is my favorite set in the infinity saga that I've got so far

I got this for my birthday today pretty cool set

It's a good set, and great to see Lego give the earlier films some representation. Though the whole thing is oversized, the head itself looks comically too big. Definitely on the list to buy come August.

In my opinion it looks all right, my biggest issue is how scaled up it is. I mean this thing literally looks like it could battle your hulkbuster if you have one, verses in the actual movie it was just a big suit of armor. Still a good set for what it's worth though.

Definitely getting this one. Hope we get sets based on the rest of Phase 1.

I really love this set and I can appreciate it for what it is, but I would definitely have preferred them go a little smaller with the mech and maybe include a side build of Stark Industries or something.

Obadaiah's head is extremely useful for Tron fans as well

@@joshuaxd65 Nowadays, maybe, because originally there were complaints about an overuse of gunmetal in sets. Similar to an overuse in gold pieces today. Primarily from Bionicle fans, there were complaints from 2006-2010 about *every* set having gunmetal grey in it. Me growing up as a Bionicle fan, and not a System enjoyer, I'm used to gunmetal grey receiving more complaints than appraise.

Got this recently and I do like it, just the size is odd but I like that they gave this proto-Hulkbuster knees, arms still need to be re-worked but overall I actually like playing with this

I just ordered that set it's a pretty cool set

I expected it to be the size of the infinity war hulk buster. It’s big but it’s doable. I still like it.

I only wish the chest can open like the war machine and age of ultron hulkbuster sets. Because in the movie the helmet and chest open, not all the way but you can see Obie’s torso, that would have made this one of if not my favorite marvel under 1000 piece set ever.

So about the height of mecha dude. Essentially it's smaller than a hulkbuster. Same size as hulk so ideally it's the big fig from Lego marvel avengers that can open like the knock-off hulkbusters. Then the build is the arc reactor. Or like something from Tony's workshop despite not being accurate but that's cool and this same wave has thanks locked in a prison cell

Honestly, that pepper head and hair would look great on a Mary Jane minifig

Today i went to my local lego shop and they already got all the new Marvel sets... but saving for the daily bugle and marvel CMF AND marvel Advent calander. I live in the Netherlands.

I love this set, I think lego mechs are weird but with iron man they make sense but I would maybe have liked it more if both were around the same size and there was more environment

Should have given ob a thanos head from the final battle so it would be a similar size to the mech head.

Everyone’s glad they getting an iron monger, but I’m happy about the classic iron man helmet

I’m just happy to finally be getting another classic Iron Man villain, all we’ve really had up to this point was Mandarin and MODOK...

Also you're right on the scale. Its amazing it's just the scale compared to the movie and minifigs. A size like Igor MK38 from the hall of armour would have been better size
