Lego Mars Mission: The Battle of Olympus Mons (Part 1) Stop-motion Animation

In hopes of securing radioactive crystals under the surface of Mars, NASA initiates the largest manned mission in human history. However, the astronauts soon discover an extra-terrestrial species also attempting to collect the crystals. As conflict breaks out, members of the space force including McCoy, Stevens, and Tucker, realize they are unequipped to outlast the aliens. In a desperate last-hope attempt, the astronauts prepare for the final battle on the Olympus Mons mountain…
Parts of this animation were interpolated with DAIN software. Overall, I felt pretty satisified with this animation, but there is room for improvement. I'm open to contrsuctive feedback, and hopefully I will be able to complete this animation sometime in the future.

Using sound efects from the game was such a good idea
As somebody who grew up with these sets as a kid it warms my heart that to this day people still make amazing stop motions like yours for this awesome theme! Great work!
Are there still plans to continue this one or is it abandoned? This is some of the best Mars Mission animation I've seen, and I'd love to see more of it
Wow. That was impressive. Great stop-motion animation. A cohesive story that was easy to follow. A nostalgic trip down memory lane of one of the great LEGO themes.

Man I hope this continues! It would be cool if we even got some parts from the aliens’ perspective (specifically the Alien Commander)! I’ve always wanted these sets, but never got to get any when they originally came out. Fortunately EBay exists

This subtheme is my childhood. Seeing stop motion videos of it reminds me of sugrivq and sabini999. So close to collecting them all. Keep up the great work!

Unfortunately, it's not on the top of my priority list, but my plan is to someday get Part 2 done. It's already written, it just needs to be animated.

Currently, part two is on hold right now due to commitments to other projects, but don't worry, I have plans for this sequel and hope to get it done sometime in the future (hopefully sooner rather than later).
