I had a huge LEGO book as a kid that gave the history of the brand and I remembered that duck, came here wondering if that was the inspiration. Great homage :)

Theres a pretty cool technique with smooth Lego pieces: you can make them slide kinda like how some Lego sets have that option. Thought about it with the tape messure
