I knew Portal was included in the game but thought it was just the DLC addon pack. It was amazing to see how it was integrated in to the main story. When X-PO started talking about a cake I got really excited.

This game goes out of its way with authenticity lol. Got most of the original voice actors, had really natural dialogue for the characters, filled respective levels with dozens of references, etc

I know this game isn’t canon to the actual Portal/Half-Life universe,but there is NO WAY Batman would be able to walk through an emancipation grid without all of gadgets and maybe even his entire batsuit dissolving once he passed through

This was my introduction to portal

Glados: ok this getting out of hand. First that (test subject name here) try to kill me twice, follow by a little moron nearly blew up my facility, then a defense grid a.I tick me by replace the word helium with neurotoxin and shut me down by taking away some power cores, then I act as a dealer in a poker game with a bodyguard, a crappy robot from another planet, a man who like killing demons, and a dog with his rabbit sidekick. And now a wizard, a dj, and a man in a bat custom. What next a princess from another dimension, a fox who fly a star fighter, a hero in training working in a store, or a group of alien gems from outer space. Who knows.

It's so iffy as to when this takes place. If it's canon to the Portal universe, then it has to take place before Chell killed GLaDOS, since GLaDOS is still in charge and Wheatley is still on his management rail. Either the writer's didn't think about Portal's continuity, or the 'her' in question is another test subject. Or, this is a non-canon story featuring Portal characters.

Weird, the turrets didn't talk in my copy of the game.
