Lego D-Day - The Battle For Omaha Beach - WW2 stop motion
Ойын-сауық
On the morning of June 6, 1944, thousands of US infantry began
landing on a beach code-named Omaha, in Normandy, France.
In order to push the Germans back, the Americans had to make
it across the beach and up the cliffs, all while under heavy
machine gun fire. The first waves of soldiers that landed on the
beach sustained heavy casualties as the Germans remained
relatively unscathed inside their concrete bunkers.
But as the battle wore on, the German's ammunition began to run
low and the Americans were crossing the beach, and making it up
to the German positions on the cliffs. by the end of the day, the
Americans had lost over 2000 men, but they now had a foothold
in France and would push the Germans back for the remainder
of WW2.

melkiqe 44 it was because everything was happening so fast you just react before you realize and that is because if you don’t they will do it to you. The soldier probably didn’t know that the German was surrendering and he mindset was like everyone else’s kill or get killed and I’d you don’t do it fast you will get killed. So that is why he shot the German he didn’t fully understand and didn’t have time to.

@@raymesquite wooden? That doesn’t make any sense. A simple, wooden boat would not be able to survive constant bursts of machine gun fire, all while being bombarded with heavy artillery. The only boat I heard of that was wooden during WW2 was a small, slim boat that usually wasn’t getting shot as often.

@@joshuaneate358 You would need titanium balls to go on that beach. From low tide to the cliffs was a farther run than movie portrayed. You're an easy target for a long time.

Amazing. All I want is to be this good one day. You captured the terror and adrenaline so well. The barriers you built looked awesome as well.
Well done my friend! You know... it’s great to see someone recreating history, in a time where so many people are trying to convince us that it “didn’t happen” (which is bull by the way.) when so many people gave their lives to fight for the freedom we have to do stuff like this. So, again, great work!!
These are incredible!
My great-grandfather fought at this battle and was on one of the boats. His boat got hit but he went on to fight and win the battle. Great video 👍

My great grandfather was a commander at Omaha. Unfortunately, he didn’t even make it on the beach. His name was Taylor Nicholas Fellers, hence my name, Rodger Nicholas Beverly. Also, my hometown has the D-Day memorial, in Bedford, VA

These history expositions at the end are as cool and clean as the animations themselves
In my opinion that has to be the best lego stop motion ever made in the world. Great job!
This is absolutely amazing how people are moving their mouth while talking it’s absolute amazing
Haven't watched a lego animation since like 2013 wow people still make these that's awesome
1 thing I gotta admit: Although I do not agree with their ideology, the Nazis did have damn cool outfits tho.
You did great on everything the noise is amazing the stop motion looks so clean you did it awesome 👍👍👍

Great job! I like how you’ve correctly placed the Czech hedgehogs and anti-tank log ramps. Not many people get that right. Good job as well the film itself! The VFX are the best I’ve seen. However, if I may offer a little bit of constructive feedback: among the first wave of landing craft was a platoon of black Americans, who played a massive role in taking out the bunkers. It would be great to see those lads in action. Overall, brilliant job, keep it up!
I'm here to say that you earned a sub because jesus christ this must've taken a long time

Incredible! This one of the best stop motions I’ve ever seen!
I remember making a stop motion and my brother came into the room. He asked me what I was doing and I said “Working” he said, “That’s not work, that’s just playing.” When I was doing that stop motion, I thought of this channel and thought, “Maybe I could be a good animator.” Even though I didn’t really stick on to the whole animation thing, I am glad I watched this channel and it got me through my early childhood. Thank you for inspiring me, JD
