Y’know what’s good? A Lego worker did a mistake but lego didn’t fire them, nor punish them, they installed new lighting to help the worker/s. “A worker’s mistake is a company mistake.” I have been a fan of lego for 8 years and this just shows true dedication to The LEGO Group and LEGO as a toy brand itself.

The one time I did call for a piece that I was missing, they sent me 2 pieces. I also later found the piece I was missing because I had misplaced it, so the set was still perfect and never was missing a piece. That is absolute quality control, assurance, and customer assistance.

Yeah, back in the 90s the boxes used to have these flip lid things to let you see "star pieces" of the set. Unfortunately, sometimes people would steal the minifigs, so I got a set like that once as a gift (gift giver didn't notice), and my mother called them and they sent the figures and also some extra stuff, I was so happy.

I will never understand why people are still buying Lego today. The quality both of stones and sets diminished massively over the last few years and yet the price of Lego went up by way way way to much. Rarely you get a decent set thats priced kinda fairly in the Lego world... most of the time its still overpriced tho.

Maybe you’re just nostalgic because the quality of set design has increased 10x in the last 20 years. Minifigure molds and prints even more so. Lego has also pretty much stayed the same price adjusted for inflation, so again idk what your talking about.

Capitalism ho! And the best part is today with the internet it couldn't be easier and cheaper to do it, so more people can expedite their growth. One of my buddies used to do art sculpting and he made a phone accessory which is now in almost every store. He used to make it by hand, I helped him setup his factory and now he can pretty much fill all his orders while he sits at his desk coming up with new designs. The only real employees he needs are for packaging, customer service, marketing, and lawyers (because once you make money, everyone starts trying to come up with excuses so they can steal it from you, even your "friends").

My uncle was living in Germany. He returned to Vietnam, his hometown, to visit our big family. He gave his nieces a set of Lego. I was among those 5 kids who could play it, but I could never own it. It was kept in the house of my oldest cousin. Everytime I wanted to play with it, I had to ask my father to come to her house which was quite far from my house. I was around 5 or 6 yrs old at that time. After years, a lot of bricks from that set were missing. When I was 26 years old, I got job and credit card. The first thing I ordered from an international store was a set of Lego. I bought that set from Lego official website and finally I could own it. It is still completely in good conditions in my closet and no any part missing. It is my fortune. I was trying to buy it because I have been always missing the beautiful small bricks I got when I was a child. Now I can play it as much as I want to. I think Lego is the most useful invention for kids. It grows my childhood dream of being an Architect as well.

I just google the instructions, look for the correct pieces in the bucket that go with the old sets, put them into small bags and give them to my kids with the instructions :) Some of the pieces need a bit of cleaning, but that's all - they stay with us forever!

Now I am working with CNC machines as well! Which control panel do you use during the process? We have Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, but I use mostly Heidenhain with Hero OS installed because of its intuitive interface (but also a bit limited, because the machine itself has only 3 coordinates and additional table with 2 axes of rotation).

It's really insane the quality and precision and engineering that goes into this whole process. I mean I bought one of those big Ford car models for my girlfriend and it was missing 1 peice. Really easy to have the missing peice sent to us for free. Amazing customer support and satisfaction.

Man, thinking about how many different sets they have with so many different pieces and so many decals I imagine they must have a lot of machines. How big of an area would you need to gather all the pieces for, say, the big Millennium Falcon set?
