Extra toggle lets you play as random characters you find in levels. Not sure if you can play as them in the city if you've completed a level as them.

Grathell Carias I would definitely call the game open world. There are story mode missions that are not part of the open world, but between missions or after completing them all you can go anywhere you can in the city area and there is quite a bit to do. There are citizens in peril, gold bricks and red bricks to find in the open world area.

How do you collect all of the characters? We playing the first play-through we unlock some of the characters but from a review of the game person mention that to collect all of the characters we need to replay the story missions and play second play-through

There will be gold LEGO pieces that you have to build around the city to reconstruct doors that characters will come out of, which can then be bought.

Input the following code 5KKQ6G you'll have to exit the code menu then activate the red brick finder. There will be red arrows on your screen pointing to the locations of red bricks. On your map, if you press X then A on an icon there will be a flashing red and blue light pinpointing the location of a collectable. You may not find your desired character but you might need them to get minikits and citizens in peril.

I was disappointed some characters didn't have more abilities. Mad Hatter's pistol was dropped from the 1st game, Green Lantern and Sinestro can't create force fields around them, just things like that.

Denzel Nanor It's been his name for a good 4 years now. Please refer to the New 52 where his comic (and him) are called "Shazam" and the upcoming "Shazam" movie. His name was also Shazam in the third lego batman game.
