Odd wide builds are so weirdly satisfying.

Congrats on getting one of the BL Designer sets. Overall very realistic aesthetic, but looks more delicate than structurally sound. Am I the only one missing the obviously inspired Jaws minifig here lol.

$110 seems like an exceedingly fair price for this set. love the background music. perfect choice.

Pretty sure it is the fragility of the design that was the main reason it was rejected from Ideas. Probably for the best it was in the BLDP in the end. Whatever design changes Lego would have made to fit the rules would have made for a completely different boat.

It's so frustrating to see so much unstable pieces during the building fase... But the final product it's so dam good 🤤

It's not delayed, the first 5k buyers were always supposed to get it in January, then the next 5k from when they reopened were supposed to get it in June, but Lego made a mistake and told everyone they were about to get their set back in December. Then they sent another email telling they made a mistake.

bricklink is owned by lego, so these products get produced and shipped through the regular lego channels. Thus they are packaged like regular lego is.

Looks great - at first sight. But in the end I had never really been happy with fiddly MOC design kits.

Ziemlich abenteuerlicher Bau, um es mal nett auszudrücken. Spaltmasse aus der Hölle kommen noch dazu. Das Endergebnis sieht recht anständig aus.

Only resellers. Originally 10k sets were offered on Bricklink, all are sold out, so you can try your luck on auction portals etc. (usually at least +200% more expensive)

This was a bricklink set selling about 7 months ago for $130. Only way to get one now is to pay an inflated price on eBay, they’re selling for about $400 now
