Nice battle report! Just a rule you missed which was pretty big: when the aspiring champion dashed, then shot the plasma gunner, then charged the other kaserkins he did a bit of an illegal move. That is because a model cannot charge in a turn in which it performed a dash, normal move ore fall back action. And as he had already dashed, the charge action could not have been performed!

If you refer to the octarius book for the "charge over" action on the scramble piles along with the FAQ page for kill team found on warhammer community, you'd see they actually specify that you can in fact dash and charge in the same activation using the "charge over" action. Weird i know, but it was intended and specified by GW themselves.

Very nice report! I’ve played against Kasrkin a couple times recently, and those Elite points can really top the scales.

Very nice BR. Just point out that in the Capture mission, if at any point (like in turn 2) an operative controls a point during it's activation and that point was captured by the enemy, that point becomes "neutral" again.

Man I don’t know what “elite points” are but they are OP as hell considering how often he was getting rerolls from them.

Good stuff, guys! Two of my favorite teams. Kasrkin are built to just wait out and out activate elites and then punish them for it. Job well done. Could have gone either way there for a while!

Nice batrep! Question: at 22:18 the Acolyte is not more than 2” from the Ork Stronghold piece but appears to be more than 2” from the side of the Oil Rig, which is Heavy. Wasn’t he obscured by the Oil Rig?

the sharpshooter was far enough over to the right that he could avoid the oil rig all together. We use laser lines from army painter in between shots to confirm cover lines for cover and obscurity.

Great content, extremely stoked to see such quality battle reports played on Octarius open terrain. My only piece of feedback would be to make the initial chaos voiceover a bit more intelligible or at least provide subtitles? Couldn't really understand what was being said (sorry, it might be just me though) Loved the background ambient music. Keep it up!

Nice report, I'd love to see Wyrmblade vs. Hierotek/Gellerpox/Intercession/Legionary any of those!

Using the "charge over" action on a scramble pile from the Octarius set, you can still perform the dash action.

@@Six-SidedLegion the rule for “charge over” says “Treat this action as a Charge” - so it’s subject to the action restrictions on Charging.

With the new(ish) crit ops rules for matched play, if you take the fortify scouting option it can go anywhere in your territory and on a vantage point.

Only one of each type of gunner, but you can have a plasma gunner and a plasma pistol on the leader
