I played that matchup several times, and I guess legionaries are just *that* good at taking down marine sized bodies if you roll hot.

Aw man i was so excited to see a phobos battle report...that was painful to watch but thank you for posting anyway!

The scene playing out in my head of the reaver ready to charge through the door, only to see a plasma gun belch red hot fury into his face. Then the audacity of the gunner closing the door as if he were never there!

Had this on in the background while painting and heard "i-con bear-rare" and thought, woah is he playing a new team?!?!? Took me a few moments to realize what they were doing lolol

Bro, the hype when the Phobos preview started, stoked for another one boys!

You guys just keep getting better! Love the updates to the intro and title cards, and this one feels faster paced even aside from the fact that it only lasts 2 turns, lol. The play-by-play seemed like it was presented a bit faster, and with more confidence, which I think is good. I know it's a lot more work on your end, but doing a 3 round match (first to 2) would be pretty cool, especially if it's with highly aggressive and lethal teams like this.

6vs6 matches seem to end up like this a lot. Even if it doesn't get this lopsided you may still end up in a position where if you move, you gain no VP and opponent will kill you, so everybody just stands still near a safe point.

These marine vs marine battles always end up in 10 minute carnage. Might as well go for best two out of three or do a more specific mission where straight up killing won't cut it.

I knew someone was going to get slaughtered when I saw that the report was ten minutes long... :) (oh, and even if all you have is a spud gun, ALWAYS shoot twice!)

It took longer to prepare the game, than actually playing it. half an hour for map, another 30 minutes, plus minus 10 to barricades, select tac ops, deploy and scout... so around 1 hour before moving the first miniautres, vs. 25 minutes for tp1 and tp2 combindes, tops!!!

Lol I just played a game just like this. Same teams same objectives, but we were on open. I was playing legionaries turn 1 I melted his leader with a plasma gun and I kept one shotting his guys, he conceded at turn 2. it was hard to watch

I wish I could understand what is being said at the start, but it never makes sense! Add some subtitles for the narrative at the start maybe :p ?!

There is subtitles in green text at the beginning, the narration is literally saying what the text says.

These ITDgames are so boring, especially with elite teams with few operatives. It's just a series of one on one standoffs with a dice check-who rolls well and who rolls crap. No tactics, no manoeuvers...
