The best players in the world (Messi, Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic) have a success rate of under 8%. That means they're hitting the net only 1 out of 10-11 times. As of Feb 2022, Juninho has scored the most free kicks (74) since they started keeping stats. And if I had to choose one player to take a free kick, it would be Beckham (his critical goal vs. Greece, with all that pressure, was classic!), or Roberto Carlos. Even when Carlos misses, its still a wonder seeing the ball travel at the speed of sound! 🤪
