John Thompson, a strong black man who taught boys how to become men. In the 80's when a team played Georgetown they knew they were going to have to play great. Or it was game over.. Rest in Power coach Thompson.

He was a father figure to them, not just a coach. Most of those kids had no father figure in their lives. Allen Iverson credited him with saving his life. He saved plenty of lives of misguided youth, gave them tough love, and kept them off the street. Rest in peace
