Great video. Just bought the base game and this makes me want the expansion. One thing I noticed, when you read the ‘event’ description in objective 2, you said “that’s not going to happen: because there is no ‘next player’. Pretty sure if you’re flying solo, or if every one else is dead, you are the next player. So you would have to discard on your next turn.

Oh no...your videos got me into Marvel Legendary...and Legendary Encounters...and now another one! When will the madness end? Just kidding...I love your videos and I cannot wait until the next one! Great to see you two back.

I don't think so, but I am planning to try out the new scenarios and characters, particularly the implementation of "multi-movies" Ripley... Should be fun! 👾👾👾

I finish ur arcadia quest (still waiting for expansions playthrough coff coff) path finder and now just all the legendary episodes keep the good work guys u make so enjoyable the games

Tim: That Dallas card that you kept placing ate the bottom of the deck is one of the most important cards in the first scenario! Yes it's 2 recruit, but you need recruit in the beginning, and later on you get to cycle all the recruit cards to the bottom. You should have gotten at least 2 (even 3 if you didn't get a lot of other recruit cards).

I got this recently and it just beats you down the whole game. Thank you Tim and Carmen for the Play Thru. Although like you said it would be better with more people so the queen has a harder time vs just one player

What are those card holders you’re using called?

Nice Playthrough, now that a player can control the Aliens a bit, how about an Alien vs Predator match to see how well that plays out?

Cool playthrough. Looks really hard especially without healing - you can't relying on just being able to outdamage the deck to avoid getting hit. Don't think you should have had any drones in the deck (based on the new expansion drone table). Also when playing with just one person on the marine's side, "next player" means you - so you would take a second strike etc. That would have been a short video though! At 48:00 I think the other thing you could have done was activate one of the abilities on the left card - you didn't have the symbols out when you played it, but 'activate' abilities can be used at any time, so can be triggered by cards you draw later on.

If you are trying to play through the movies with the expansion pack do the aliens move because that way it make more sense. This game you played the alien and their was no queen in that movie. But you guys can change it however you like so have fun and great and fun review of the game.

When you reveled event during Objective 1, shouldn't you take two strikes? Unless expansion changed this.

Nice playthrough!! Personally i like the alien queen mode but from my experiences 1v3 is the best ratio of players. 1v1 is just way too hard

At the start of Tim's turn at around 13:15, you forgot to move the cards on the complex. Regardless, that was a fun playthrough. Please come back and do another playthrough soon.

Great playthrough so far. I have the base game on order, but may add this!!! Just got to 17 mins, and you bout a sergeant. YOu only paid 2 and they cost 3. Oops! Sorry, I see this has already been pointed out!!

in the summary you mentioned Vasquez Tim..... i believe she dose not want her image or any part of her association reproduced in the game so i believe this puts and end to seeing her in a future expansion. But does that also mean her 'ADIOS" weapon is also copyright :D... that would be awesome lol

Vasquez characters should be owned by the Franchise, not the character. If you noticed, at least in the first Legendary Encounters, many of the characters portrayed have a likeness to the original, it's not actually them. I think when they signed up for the movies, they forfeit any claim to the character use. You just can't use their real-life photos, etc without approval.

You stood no chance without healing yourself against her blows, you were still lucky with the wounds AND you didn't take the event hits which should have affected you (if something affects the next player and you're alone, YOU are that next player). I don't think it's actually possible to win against a n00b queen player by yourself, you NEED another character to heal and coordinate. ... she definitely knew what she was doing... so... less than no chance actually. But it was fun to watch. You played very well regardless. :-)

Good video...gave a good overview of the expansion which looks really good. One thing I noticed, think you may have bought a sergeant for 2 recruit points although I am pretty sure they cost 3? Unless this has changed in the expansion?

I only have the Predator version of Legendary, but i really like the Queen mechanic. Would this expansion work with that. Or am I paying for a lot of extra stuff that I couldn't use.

Ryan I think you can. The game is designed to combine the cards from different sets. I.E. You could have the Hulk vs the Predator. So I can't see why you couldn't. In solo mode I don't believe it would work but if you're the Queen while someone else is versing the Predator - either Predator than it should be fine. I don't have the expansion yet but I will be getting soon so maybe there is something in the rules that says you you can't use it against the Predator but I don't see why not.

Black Plague is a nightmare especially with all the kickstarter stuff we even had to water it down and still murdered us and stuck at mission 7. Good to see you guys back though and I always loved the Legendary games and wanted to see more of the new content have to do some Marvel soon!

Don't they have the 3rd & 4th movies? You played SOS on the Marvel/Alien crossover. I haven't seen anyone do the 3rd or 4th movies, or a mash-up...which I find a bit strange that it isn't there. Other than that, this is very interesting. :-)

They do have the 3rd and 4th movies in the base game. Those 2 movies weren't so great but the objectives based on them are fun. Also the expansion has 2 new scenarios, each with 3 objectives that are not based on any movies..

It added 2 new "movies" with 3 objectives each, not based on any actual movie. They added Hard-Core mode for all 6 the original 4 movies and the 2 new ones created for this Expansion They added Solider Drones, you can add 1 to each of the 3 objective mini decks, for a hard random drone added. They added new strikes. They added 2 new characters to each of the 4 movies from the base game. They added a Ripley deck, the problem I have with this deck is the cards have the factions split between the 4 movies, so it could cut into combos a bit, (ex need Weyland Yuntai character to do _____). Alien Queen, has her own deck 4 different avatars, and 4 "hero" cards to add to her own starter cards, her own play mat as well. When you play against the Alien Queen you add all 6 characters for the appropriate movie. Note: the 2 new "movies" don't have player characters so you would use 4 (or 6 with Alien Queen), from the movie of your choice. With Alien Queen I would recommend 3 or 4 human players, 1 is to rough, and 2 might not be enough either. The Queen''s goal is to kill all the players. The human player's goal is to finish the "game" and then kill the Queen.

Has the artwork changed with the expansions? It looks a little different.

I thought it looked very similar. I liked it. Especially the Queen cards.

1 vs the Alien Queen is pretty rough, the more players again'st the queen the harder it is for the queen to win.

You came pretty close but I think it was designed for 2 or more players, but put 1 on the mat, so people can't say "what if we only have 2 players". I have won and lost as the Queen with 4 normal players, which is where I think it is the most balanced. I did play against 5 players, but the queen does lose each time. plus the game is really long. I don't recommend it, the mat does have it listed for only 4 players.

I could be wrong because I don't have the rules in front of me but sergeants cost 3 recruit not 2 but a lot of other videos make the same mistake (maybe upperdeck could have it on the play mat since this doesn't change) but still I love this video I have a few questions on how this expansion can be fitted into the base game and I like that all the questions I had got answered great video I'll be checking your other videos and subbing to the channel

also forgot to mention that with objective 3 there's the ash card which cant be killed unless you coordinate with another player so playing with 1 avatar this card cant be killed

Good video. One correction, you don't kill card when you hunt, you discard....
