Legendary bassist Trevor Bolder shredding and shredding and shredding
Музыка
This clip is the legendary bassist Trevor Bolder, best known as the bassist of (David Bowie) Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars and more recently touring with Uriah Heep. This video was taken at the uriah Heep show at the Key Club IN Los Angeles on Aug. 18th 2011. I'm not sure what song it is.

Two years ago I got to shake Trevor's hand. I told him that Bowie was lucky to have have played with him. He smiled and positively beamed. I could tell he was a modest guy by nature.. If I had waited to approach him I may never have gotten the chance to cross "Shake hands with a spider from Mars " off my bucket list. Tonight I put Ziggy Stardust, one of the most beautiful recordings ever made, on my stereo and salute an epic talent.
Trevor Bolder one of the best bass players ever.R.I.P.
One of the best and most underrated rock bass player that ever walked the earth...

Oh man, I had to check wiki, you were right, he is by far the longest running Heep bassist, Thain and Wetton are better remembered by they were only like 2 or 3 year each
Some extraordinarily gifted bass played can do some wild (and often complex shit) while never losing the groove.. That's why Trevor impresses me.
Trevor, rest in peace... you filled the place what Gary Thain left... both of you, great bassist....
Going back to this video over and over... One of the most impressing performances by Trevor. Unbelievable!
"Best known as bassist of Bowie". He was a member of Heep for about 35 years, not a "touring member". RIP!
Was fortunate to have Trevor as a Neighbour and friend great guy and very very modest Rip Trev
Oustanding bassplayer . R.I.P. Trevor
What a bass player Trevor Bolder was R.I.P
Trevor was unbelievable. Some of his bass lines are just incredible. Love or nothing has always stuck in my mind
July Morning is the song. I got to meet Trevor outside the Apollo in Glasgow when Heep played with the amazing John Sloman on vocals. When Trevor did his bass solo he tripped backwards and didn't even lose a note. I was a fan before but that show just blew me away and he has been up there with the very best bassists ever since that day. He was using his Kramer DMZ 360 i think it was. Cracking bass tone on that tour. He manages to capture the essence of the late great Gary Thain from his live performances of the song altho Paul Newton did the original studio version. Jings Heep have had some incredible bass players over the years.
Trevor Bolder, Gary Thain, John Wetton...UH it's all about that bass RIP Maestros all 🤘
Trevor was such a great bass player, extremely underrated.
God Damn. He plays like he has the best name in rock and roll. RIP Sir.
he lived in my village, what a legend, rip

THIS IS HOW " ROCK BASS " SHOULD BE PLAYED...ROCK SOLID, SO POWERFUL , EVERY SINGLE NOTE HITS YOU IN THE FACE...R I P TREVOR MY FRIEND....
Trevor Bolder - my favorite ever bassist.
WoW thanks for this footage :) ....Great bass playin' R.I.P Trevor Bolder
Trevor is one of my influences on how i play bass... and i have now played for 30 years. A very modest man if you meet him. Trevor has never really been recognised as one of the leading players who helped shape the sound of British rock.... Bowies music would have sounded completly different without Trevor on bass along with Mick Ronson and Woody Woodmansy. Ask him why he is still touring in his 60s..... coz he still likes to play.
Many, many thanks for posting this amazing footage!!! :D I saw that tour from the front row and this brings back great memories. Donn
Thanks! I negelected to mention just how incredible the rest of the band were as well.
Fantastic film of a truly missed legend and big part of our lives
Wunderbar! Die hatte ich "früher" und noch heute gerne gehört.....und der "konnte" echt was... R.I.P.
He's actually been with Heep since '77 (first appearance on 'Firefly' LP released that year - check it out.) This song is called "July Morning" and is one of their most classic & fan favorite songs.
Trevor B and Rich Grech probably the two best bassists to have ever graced these shores...rip both!
you will be greatly missed man
It's July Morning great song Trevor Bolder is one of the best bassists in the world !!!
He was such an underrated bass master .. 👌
He was a rare example of solo bass player. He could have competed with any solo guitarists. I wish he would have played on stage with Stevie Ray Vaughan - another great musician who colaborated with David Bowie. Sadly all of them are gone.

I'm guitarplayer myself, but at Heep Concerts I always stood in front of the bass amps, because I was the fascinated by Trevors playing.

@jeffleoncomedy this was pretty much my view when i saw them last night in NYC! awesome bass player anx a really nice guy
Why do people say.. He was underrated.. He wasn't rated.. To be rated you have to be on some stupid list or something .. He was simply an Awesome Musician full stop..
Siempre seras uno de mis bajistas predilectos ! Descansa en paz.. Maestro !
Thanx for the video! RIP
I have been searching for his name for over 4 months now. I called home the “white tipped bass player” and I finally found him instead of Gail An Dorsey
"...and more recently touring with Uriah Heep" from 1976 to now is not so recent... anyway Trevor is the best and the most underrated bass rock player ever...He shine through every song he recorded, particulary in all those albums and songs he did live and in studio with Uriah Heep...
Impressive!!!! Legend

A little bit of respect, please! No, he's not just "OK", wrong words in this situation. He passed away and we all are very very sad. Gary Thain was a superb musician on so was Trevor Bolder.
Wonderful playing by Trevor. Next time, though turn your I-Phone 90 degrees either way to get a full-screen image.
