    I still want a Combiner that doesn't have detachable hands/fists.

    Yep, I have them all, and you adequately described all the pros and cons that I've experienced with them. I'm most unsatisfied with the Zeta Superion, he's so fiddly, and the individual robot faces look goofy.

    I've got the original release of NA's Devastator at the very beginning and still got those upgraded legs. Newage sent them for free for those who collected the whole set of the 1st release. Buyers only needed to contact the retailers and paid the shipping fee.

    Great video!!! I completely agree with Superion. Once I completed the full set, I ended up selling mine because I hated how flimsy the bots were. My god what a nightmare trying to keep these figures in place. I plan on picking up MS Menasor at some point. I'm currently collecting the MS Bruticus bots right now. Thanks! Keep up the great work!

    I learned from my MS-01X to NEVER get the painted version of MS figures due to clearance and tolerance issues from the paint

    I hate the really toony appearance of MS Bruticus, but OH MY GOD IM GETTING HIM even though I have IF Bruticus because it looks so badass and just wish Onslaught was bigger. But yeah, amazing video man! I'm planning on getting MS only for aesthetics, rather than it's quality, or at least I hope the yellow variant I'm getting is better quality, love this video man!

    The kicker is the MS, Zeta, & NA combiners scale horribly together & there's no word of NA releasing/developing more combiners!

    Never broke a MS figure before, even their painted figures. You have to realise that they're using a softer plastic to help with the transformations. A harder plastic would cause way more problems. Once you know how that plastic works it makes it way easier to know what it can handle. I avoid all things Zeta Toys.

    I'm usually fairly careful with my legend scale transformers since they are so small but my Magic Sqaure stunticons definitely have some problems. Not only did I break my Deadend, but I also broke my Wildrider in almost the same way while editing this video. I'm not sure if it's because these guys are reissues or the premium painted versions, but the tollerances on all of mine are insanely tight. I only broke the figures I did because the tabs that connect the lower legs were so tight that they both literally snapped off at the pull sockets that got stuck. I also had to shave some plastic off some connecting pegs just so they would actually fit into their respective connection ports since some ports actually had alot of excess plasic in them lol. I own a few non-painted magic square figures and all of their tolerances are fine. but these stunitcons I got have some extremely tight joints and tab connection problems. However all of that being said, I do agree with what you're saying. All materals have their own problems that you do need to learn how to handle.

    Can we get a counter in the bottom of the screen to tally up how many times you say "combiner". You'll need an AI to handle the actual counting. I doubt a human mind could keep up. Ok ok, I'm done. Could not resist my guy. Still have you a like though, and been sub'd. I'm just giving a little 7734. Bonus points if anybody gets that.

    How do they scale with a voyager like SS38 Optimus Prime for example?

  • @speakerheadTF

    Sadly I don't have SS38 Optimus, but compared to Legacy Prime Bulkhead (he was the most convenient lol) the individual combiner bots stand around the waist. Combined all three are about the size of an MP Optimus. Hope this helps!

    How can I tell of the NA Constructicons I have are OG release or newer release w/upgraded legs? Thanks!

  • @speakerheadTF

    @speakerheadTF

    Жыл бұрын

    So the two figures you want to look at are going to be Mixmaster and Hook. The upgraded legs for Mixmaster will have actual little feet comared to the original release which are flat. For Hook, his upgraded feet will have a totally grey leg with the other leg having a little bit of green compared to the orginal release that thas big green feet. Scrapper's legs also got the upgrade, but it's a much more subtle difference. I believe the upgraded legs for him just added a bit better feet and some better fillers for the back of legs. In case you needed visuals, ShowZStore does have a listing (sold out) for the leg upgrade kit to replace the original legs on the cartoon version. If you scoll down on that listing, they have pictures comaparing each set of legs. I hope this helps you out 🙂👍 LINK TO PICTURES: showzstore.com/newage-upgrade-kit-for-devastator-combiner_p4228.html

    I don't think the moulds should be deteriorating like you said. This is hard plastic right? So the moulds are almost certainly steel and should last decades without noticeable wear. There are modeling companies who have been pumping out plastic kits made with moulds 60 years old. If it was restic or something, they use silicone moulds and degrade very quickly, but as far as I know, these should be made using a steel die.

  • @speakerheadTF

    @speakerheadTF

    Жыл бұрын

    I agree that there shouldn't be any deterioration on these molds due to how few times they have been used compared to other transformer mold, but they do have some sort of issue with the manufacturing process from what I've seen with my MS Menasor. Both my Dragstrip and Dead End had excess plasic in their waist joints so I couldn't connect the upper torso to their legs. I had to get a knife to cut some plastic out in order to make them fit properly. Plus there are some other many connection ports that either extremely tight fits or don't fit at all. As I did state in the video, some of the tight connections could be due to extra paint being added, but some of the tabs were completely the wrong size for the hole it's suppose to connect to. It could be possible I just got a lemon copy of this figure, but without owning another version of the MS Menasor I would'n't be able to confirm anything. I was mentioning what I think could possibly have cause the issues I had 👍

  • @ellagrant6190

    @ellagrant6190

    Жыл бұрын

    Oh I don't doubt you that there is some kind of issue. It sounds like it might be a problem with the mould not closing properly or maybe they injected too much plastic, either or both which could explain the flash. In either case though it's not really an issue with the age of the mould though. As for your idea about the paint, yeah that could be a thing. Particularly if it had especially tight tolerances to begin with.

  • @speakerheadTF

    @@ellagrant6190 What you suggested are good guesses. Hopefully it was just my copy that has this issue. It wouldn't be my first time getting the lemon copy of a figure haha.

    Sorry you don't like my faster pace compared to other Transformer content creators. Nobody has ever mentioned it's been an issue. I could make my content similar to other content creators, but this is how I like talking and editing. I also find it strange that you say that I make it sound like talking like transformers is a chore. I talk that quick because I'm excited to talk to everyone about transformers haha. Once again, sorry if you don't like my style of content, but I don't have any plans on changing the way I create content any time soon. That's why it's a video so you can rewatch anything you missed 😁👍
