I’m digging this game and all the soundtracks from nostalgic Martial Arts and Action Flick movies. I had the biggest smile on my face on the level where Jimmy was fighting on the semi trailer and the Tango & Cash soundtrack started playing. Good stuff to all the programmers and creators of this OpenBOR game. I will be downloading this one for sure.

It's gonna be even dreamy-er when Ultimate comes out!

You hipped me to this game a couple years ago. This is still the most badass version of double dragon. Still the best open bor game period. (I had just commented on some double dragon video and you were like, hey check this out.. thank you bro) I'm still trying to figure some of these moves. I'm over here playing it like old school double dragon lol. You wreck these guys 🐉 🐉

Thank you friend. I'm glad it all happened. I don't know if you've noticed but I made a move list video a year ago. It's an hour long and there is a section on defensive techniques. And it go on about how to defend yourself properly. You might want to look it over if you're having trouble with the enemies it could help.👍☺

The Jimmy playthrough is just as good as the Jeff one😎. We're lookin at Super Jimmy in action. I didn't know his kicks were so lethal😁.

Nice playthough man, I was wondering what OBS settings you use? I want do some good videos to promote mauris work with LOTDD and UDD, at least until I can get to a point where I can start donating. Thanks in advance man, and loving the Jimmy playthough, the guy doesnt get enough attention haha :p

Thanks dude! As far as my OBS settings go, well I didn't know too much on how to get started. There is a lot of technical stuff and settings I have no idea about what they mean. OBS may be free, but its made for pros which I am not. So here goes nothin... I use a "WINDOW Capture" not display, not game, but window capture. This made the biggest difference in the quality of my latest videos. Meaning no more skipping or lagging. Turns out as I read on forums that Display capture puts a lot of strain on your CPU causing studdering. You must tell OBS what window to record out of. Something like Ultimate2Dengine or something like that. I use the default settings mostly. I didn't touch anything beyond what would obviously need to be configured, except for video quality. I chose "Indistinguishable" Which is near perfect, but makes a really REALLY large file. Set as mp4. Lastly I set some hotkeys up to record and to stop recording so people wouldn't see an infinity desktop mirror lol! I hope this helps. Some people have an easy time with OBS, some people say it just screws up all the videos. I remember Davaprec telling me his recordings with OBS were always jacked up. So he uses Nvidia Shadowplay. @@nklopez56 Ah, I pretty much use the same settings, but I dont use WINDOW capture, so thats how I get that nice quality you have going, thanks man. Also never thought of using hotkeys before, thanks man, thatll save a little time in post editing, or at least save me from removing the infinity background haha. Thanks again man.

Mission 5 is the "No Retreat No Surrender" training theme I believe. The boss music is Bloodsport "Jackson Falls".

How do you do the more complex combos?

Well, It depends on what you mean by complex. If your talking cancel combo strings, I just use cancel combos that repeatedly leave the enemy dizzy so I can do another. Now if your talking about the Street Fighter Super Arts and the Killer Instinct Combos well, those are d-pad and button commands. Some long, some really really long. I'm currently in the process of making a complete movelist/tutorial on how to do everything for Billy and Jimmy in this game. Its gonna be a while though. Could be weeks if not months. Just give me time. Check out the developers channel. I think he has some old move lists that are still valid. Thanks for your comment and welcome to our tiny little community!

Well that's a tough question. All the basic and most special moves are the same for both of them. The only major difference I can say for players just starting out is the cancel combos. Jimmy's combos seem to cover more ground, putting distance between you and the enemy behind you. They are pretty spectacular, but a little slower and impractical in battle. (Unless your really skilled) Billys come out a bit faster and have a lot more hits too. (Same amount of damage though) Billy can lay a serious beatdown on a single enemy, but struggles a little bit with crowd control and enemies that come up from behind. I would start out as Jimmy first and get used to the game better before giving Billy a try. Again its up to you. The dragons are pretty balanced in LOTDD.

Não falo português, mas vou tentar. Certifique-se de que o download seja feito no site oficial do desenvolvedor listado na descrição. Está em inglês também. Junte-se ao discord para que outros possam ajudá-lo se eu não puder. Eles só falam inglês. Não sei o que significa "aplicativo Win". Vou te dizer que este jogo é apenas para PC. Se você estiver familiarizado com outros jogos Openbor, certifique-se de iniciá-lo dentro de sua própria pasta e executável. Não mova o pak para algum outro diretório Openbor que você mesmo criou. Você terá que ser mais descritivo do seu problema se quiser uma boa ajuda.

Ah, você quer dizer o "Combo Breaker"? Para fazer isso, você deve ter pelo menos 40% de energia primeiro e depois (quando estiver olhando para a direita) faça um quarto de círculo para a frente + soco (Jimmy) / Kick (Billy) enquanto estiver sendo atacado. Lembre-se de que é apenas para ataques leves que atordoam levemente, não para agarrar inimigos ou ataques instantâneos de knockdown. Você deve inserir o comando ENQUANTO ESTIVER hitstun animation, para ter muito pouco tempo para executá-lo. Boa sorte!

@@bigsmokiac2977 Está conectado ao motor OpenBor. Falei com o Sr. Q sobre isso há muito tempo e ele disse que tentou, mas não consegue se livrar dele. hahahah. Pensando bem, você notará que todos os jogos Openbor já feitos têm as mesmas 3 opções de menu ao iniciar. Então sim, é apenas o motor.

I think it is voiced by Bruce Lee. I heard some voice clips being heard from “enter the dragon” in Jimmy’s voice clips. And I assume Billy is either voiced by Jackie Chan. As for Jeff and others, I have no Idea.

Seeing creations like this annoy me. But they annoy me for a very specific reason. There are so many fans that want more out of the franchise. DD is great and Ive loved it since I was a kid. But DD games come out so sporadically. We dont have a collection. DD Neon was a comedy (dont get me wrong, I loved it). And DD Gaiden is a cartoon. But why is it such a small franchise? The reason I get mad is because regular everyday civilian fans, like whoever made THIS, have to make something so cool. No budget. No red tape. No bullshit. Just a game that looks and sounds cool. But the game development companies, who have resources and can green light projects dont do shit. Its annoying.

I agree with your frustration, but please allow me to correct the flaws in your perspective. You must realize first that the majority of people who enjoy games like this are in their 30s and 40's now. We are not a sought after demographic in terms of marketing by big publishers. We are not the people that spend a lot of money on games anymore because were adults with families and responsibilities, and they know that. Big publishers always market to the younger demographics that pay more. Not to older ones that don't. Second, Double Dragon was popular, but not as popular as Final Fight and no where near as popular as Streets of Rage. So publishers are not going to risk a really really big investment of money if they feel its not going to turn a profit. I'm very frustrated just like you when it comes to the F-Zero series. GX is my absolute favorite game of all time, yet Nintendo and Sega will never make another one. Why? Because ever since the release of the first F-Zero, every sequel afterwards made less and less money. It doesn't make business since to make another one. Its sucks, but thats the sad reality. Third, Double Dragon is one of those franchises that has really really poor continuity. Meaning that the lore and the designs of the main characters themselves never stay in a straight line. You can't see more than two DD games come out without Billy and Jimmy switching hair colors! Also, being that the license keeps getting passed around to dozens of developers with their own ideas on how to make a game and slap “Double Dragon” on top, destroys any kind of identity the brand could maintain. How much value could a franchise have when it can be anything anyone wants? Its not good for the IP. Lastly is the haven of fan games, which is what you are looking at. It is the last bastion of hope for people like you and me. Its a place where people who cared about the original developers vision can better express them in a way they (and big companies) never could. Despite being constrained by time, money, man power and even the threat of a C&D by the rights holders, they can make games that can snub triple-A companies by a country mile. Thats the magic of fandoms and power of the individual developer. Lets be grateful that these games are even allowed to exist at all. If you like what you see here, check out my channel some more.
