The era of Sony Betamax cassettes. Watched this serial movies with our neighbours since there was only 1 player in our village.

My father would always play this in the car and said he could watch this series forever. Just listening to this brings back some good nostalgia

cause every new generation try to add something new or change it and it comes out a little weird. Like if someone remade or remixed Bohemian Rhapsody, it still wouldn't be as good as the original

When they remastered the series they randomly took out scenes that first appeared in 1983. Pretty frustrating actually.

Just started watching the series for the 1st time yesterday. It looks really good, I was quite surprised since I tried watching some modern Chinese shows and didn't really like them. This one is a real Hong Kong wuxia style show with great cast. Loved to see Patrick Tse whom I appreciate from his performances stretching from the 50s., really great actor. Gonna watch 2nd ep in a moment!

I hope you are watching with the original Cantonese audio as it was meant to be viewed. It is an absolute travesty that TVB as bent the knee to its CCP overlords and will only show the series with Mandarin dubbing now. Absolute travesty not to be able to hear the actual voices of Felix, Michael, Barbara, and the rest of the cast. I understand that this iconic series has been dubbed into a myriad of languages, but those who want to hear it in Chinese shouldn't be robbed of the option to listen to the original Cantonese. /rant

I tried watching some newer Chinese series (The Blue Whisper and King's War) and can't say I enjoyed them. Meanwhile I'm watching 16th episode of Legend of the Condor Heroes today.
