A disqualification of a racer on the streets is leaving before the starter's light turns on.

Nick Lang I understand the red light process, but in this situation is the red light at the starters discretion? I mean there can be hundredths of a second difference in reaction time.

Steve Hilliard... yes, the red light is reported by the starter just like nhra drag racing.
