The best dialogues and voices of all game history.

Kain's line at 4:36 is the coolest thing ive heard spoken in a dialogue. Been waiting years for a good opportunity to use that.

I always lament that a good part of this dialogue was cast away from the intros of the next games.

This voice acting is timeless

You know after all these years it finally hit me, why he was waiting for so long for you to arrive rather than do the ritual immediately, giving pieces of his power and soul to revive the saraphan priests into vampires. He couldn't do it. Not without Raziel's help. Before anything else, The Reaver in it's incorporeal form doesn't actually kill. It weakens the bond between the soul and the body. Only after each time you strike him with the soul reaver, he's able to cut a piece of his soul for the ritual! You're literally helping him start his empire in this last fight! Kain is quite a risk taker, allowing himself to be weakened, just so he can put his plan into motion! So much depth. This franchise. Even after all these years.

What are you talking about? This isn't a ritual chamber, it's a time machine. He's been waiting ~1000 years for Raziel to return as a creature with True Free Will, so he can take him back in time on a journey that will show them both the truth of their destinies. The Sarafan officers being turned into Vampires happened about 2 millenia before this encounter.

Impossible, since Raziel states in the INTRO that Kain usually changed first before his children, which means he looked more human than here when he revived Raziel and his brothers.

He didn't since in the past he was way weaker than in this timeline. Thats why he was silenced until Raziel entered the Pillar Chamber where the Ellder is.

i've always compared this scene, to tha last major scene from "the Devil's Advocate" Time Squer Central is abandoned not a living soul, the Puppet is going to face the Master, here is the same thing beyond the final gate the Devil awaits to manipulate You, in the movie Kevin choses to kill himself rather than do his father's work; here on the other hand Raziel blinded by rage fallows Kain beyond the Chromoplast and in doing so he sigiles his faith and becomes his servent .... POOR RAZIEL ...

when games were mysterious. newly3-D you just had no idea what to expect. appreciated the theatrical elements only in passing but that's the only thing that holds up. I mean you don't play the game again, you contemplate the infinite time loop. and your indignation

It looks easy, but it’s definitely a challenge. The game is fun, but figuring out where to go or what to do has always been the hardest part for me.
