Tom said he went so hard on this one, he blew out his voice for 4 days. He thought about editing it, but decided to keep it as is. So glad he did because it makes this track even more real and intense. Tom's inner wrestler really came out in this one!

He said he did it on purpose...just for the video. Just screamed to make his voice hoarse, then did the song again, and again, and again. Listen and you hear his voice getting rougher over the course of the song. Then Nova edited it to get the roughness progression over the video.

@@91DEP the song was recorded months before he even knew he was doing a video for it. I watched his live he did where he explained how he blew out his voice recording the track. Tom is a master at revealing his emotions on a track. And Nova doesn't edit his music like that. Evan does the mixing and mastering.

Nova had a issue during the shooting of this video, he carried her out to an ambulance when it arrived at their house because she was having trouble breathing. I pray for them all the time. Loved this reaction! I remember watching this video the very first time and it was like riding a motorcycle down a steep hill with your hair on fire full of adrenaline. The drum beat that sounds like a high wire circus performance was absolutely genius. Lyrically exceptional and Tom just straight flexing his skill. Haha had an amazing time watching this one hope the arm stretches helped 😂 Nova got hospitalized during the making of this video due to breathing conditions and at one point they were worrying she might not make it - Tom had to carry her to the ambulance 😪 thankfully Nova recovered and somehow they still crushed this video! ❤ Agree the family bars are hard af, probably the hardest, but man choosing one is tough there are so many crazy bars! @@LoccdWolfReacts I believe it's chronic asthma Nova has, or at least something along those lines maybe with additional complications - either way it's permanent but manageable most of the time, she's just super susceptible to bugs and things and they hit her harder - which is also why they haven't toured since the lockdown. Thankfully I'm not aware of any scares or close calls like this since. Catch you on the next one Wolf... don't worry after the rollercoaster of 'Withdrawals' we go to one of Tom's best ever political songs imho, 'Brainwashed' 😏

My favorite version of Tom.

This track was almost late dropping.... was one of the scariest days Tom and nova had had in a bit... Tom had been working in the studio most of the day and when he came out he found Nova crawling to the bathroom. Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but Nova suffers from severe respiratory issues... a common cold hospitalized here for 10days a few yrs back.. Tom picked her up took her to the couch and when none of her treatment options helped called the EMTS picked Nova up and carried her out to meet them on the front walk. Thankfully the paramedics were able to help and Tom was able to take her back in where they were just hanging on the couch... Tom was stressing bc the video wasn't finished and was scheduled to drop the next day but didn't want to say anything bc it meant nothing in comparison to Novas health ♥️ lol but our Nova is the ultimate beast and she told Tom they needed to get it finished lol and so they did lol Love that crazy girl but dang I worry about her bunches lol Thankfully she's in the best of all hands!! When Tom told us what had happened I have to say it added a whole new level of understanding and relevance to the end of this track when he spits bar after bar without breath!!

So Happy for you. Babies are absolute blessings from God. The Lord will be calling my niece home very soon. And even though she was born with a very rare chromosome disorder she is a beautiful and happy soul. She turns 33 next month (hopefully) she was not suppose to make it past about 15yrs old, so we got so much more precious time with her. Cherish every moment.
