This is one of my absolute favorite videos. Sophie is absolutely charming and kind. The dinner shots were amazing. I especially loved the happy dancing while you and Christian were enjoying the meal. A definite sign that the food is delicious 😋 I immediately knew where you were going towards the end of the video when you said it was your favorite place. The weather looks wonderful too.

The food looked so amazing. On our last visit we tried to go to Zinc a couple times. Our timing was off and they were closed. Next time we come they will definitely be the first place we will go to dinner. We would love to meet Sophie & Antonine and support Zinc. Thank you for highlighting this restaurant Jose.

@@fp2374 Jaja well actually glad you brought that up. I was a trained Chef for many years before I ever started doing KZread and I learned Authentic French Cuisine in School from actual French Chefs and also worked in a Few French restaurants in my career and i am very familiar with it. Of course there is no replacement for Actual French Cuisine in France. But you can't get any closer than actually having a French owner who also happens to be a Chef to really bring an authentic piece of France out here to Merida. I am honestly transported back in time eating there and being in that amazing ambiance. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a to try a true piece of France while out here in Merida.

Their staff is lovely, they clearly take good care of them 🙌🏼 nothing like enjoying a negroni and having a galette on the breezy terrasse in the evening ❤ bravo Sophie et Antoine! 🇲🇽 🇫🇷

Awesome, it shows the diversity of the cuisine and culture in Mexico. Tacos are great, however I feel alot of you-tubers just focus on that. So this good, the pasta looked divine

Exactly! When living in Mexico you basically eat tacos and Mexican Food all the time. Even the Mexicans themselves crave for variety that goes beyond just burgers and wings as well. That's one of the reasons I like to highlight people and places like Sophie and her restaurant Zinc. I want to show people there is more than just tacos out here! I also want to highlight there are many types of immigrants in Mexico. There have always been many people flocking to Mexico for one reason or another and this is just another example of a successful immigrant story out here in Mexico! Bonjour!

Long time following your channel Jose. This time I couldn't resist writing my first comment. Great content by the way. My wife and I, were in Merida last year in March. To my surprise, I heard my wife saying that she would like to go back again ( I hope soon) she really liked it. And when we do, I'm going to ask you for advice about the delicious French cuisine. It really looked delicious. Till then, keep enjoying the great Merida life!

In fact most of my videos are filmed in many parts of the Southern Portion of the city since thats where I live and it is much easier for me to take a drive or bike ride around here than the North of the city. It all depends on where in the USA. Some places it is easy to obtain while I know in certain cities they only have a set number of licenses and they dont issue out any more so you have to buy it from someone else and sometimes the price can be in the millions of dollars. Same thing out here in Mexico some states and municipalities are more strict than others. Here in Merida it only seems to take time and patience after talking to many other business owners out here.
